So, finally the last songs. Filler Songs are songs which serve no real purpose at all – they don’t really add something to the story, they normally turn up in filler or Comic-Relief scenes. And they are mostly something typical for the older disney movies, so there are not that many overall.

5. The Little Mermaid: I only added “Daughters of Triton” here because I felt I had to mention it somewhere, but the piece is so short, I hesitate to take it into account at all. It's not bad, not at all, it serves it's purpose por introducing Ariel's family, but that's mais or less all what is to it: Just a bunch of names, sung prettily.
So the rating is mostly based on “Les Poissons”. Before I made this pick, I had this one as third best. But some of the reactions in the pick really surprised me, so I took a really good look at the song, and the scene itself, and I suddenly realized how useless the whole sequence is. It’s pure comic relief with no purpose at all – Louis doesn’t even turn up again until the very end of the movie, for another pointless gag.

Fanpop says: Third best for “Daughters of Triton”, “Les Poissons” ended up as segundo worst “Odiosa! Pointless, arguably harmonious, and not that special at all.” (Lisia)

4. Sleeping Beauty: If there is one sequence in “Sleeping Beauty” I dislike, than the “Skumps” scene. It’s another one of those pointless comic relief scenes, and I could life with removing it from the movie altogether. And the song is barely a song at all. But it at least serves the purpose to show the plans and hopes of those two fathers. It could have done better (as “Tangled” proves) and especially shorter, but it’s enough for me to put it on place three.

Fanpop says: Worst “i like what they say, i think its funny... but they don't sing that much in it... all they sings is "Skumps"” (DamianLUVR)

3. Snow White: I absolutely loathe “The Silly Song” and “The Washing Song”. The former is literally about nothing, and the latter about washing. But at least the melodies are somewhat catchy. And one could argue that “The Silly Song” works well to show how carefree Snow White is while the Evil queen hatches her evil plan (nice shift of mood in the movie).
And while I always was bored por the washing scene, even as a little kid, it is a step in the character development of Grumpy. I always thought that he actually wants to wash too, but naturally he would never ever admit it. (And he certainly is the only thing which makes the scene bearable). It certainly serves well to demonstrate the dynamic between the dwarves.

Fanpop says: segundo best for “The Silly Song” (well, one had to get it, right?), third worst for “The Washing Song”

2. Cinderella: I really can’t tell what’s so fascinating about “Sing Sweet Nightingale”. The song has practically no text, the scene, while pretty to look at, serves no real purpose (although it does show the contrast between the life of the stepsisters and the life of Cinderella), but it’s just a tune you can’t escape. And the scene is not one segundo longer than it should be.

Fanpop says: The clear winner, scoring mais than half of the votes. ” por far-always loved this song” (ecpjll)

1. Yeah, I know, you are all wondering, what could have been better after all – well, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Aladdin”, “Pocahontas”, “Mulan”, “The Princess and the Frog” and “Tangled”. Because even better than having a good “Filler Song”, is having none at all. Some of those filmes have songs I consider pointless, but they have been already downgraded in the related category for that.

here they are....

 "The reprise is beautiful" (KataraLover)
"The reprise is beautiful" (KataraLover)

20. Part of Your World (Reprise)
This song is quick, simple, but very sweet. It shows you don't need to have a lot of metaphors and poetic devices to convey what you want. Ariel expresses her desire to become human so clearly and plainly in this song, just por the emotion and longing she conveys, and por just putting it into simple sentences.

"...the reprise is just unforgettable and beautiful." (TotallyMe105)
"Part of Your World Reprise is epic." (AllegroGiocoso)

"I think this song is really catchy and fun. It's my favorito song in PATF." (princesslullaby)

The little Mermaid was released on November 17 1989 and is largely accredited with being the film that heralded the beginning of the disney Renaissance. With the average production time of an animated disney film being 6 years this film was developed in the height of the 80’s.

The assignment of designing the heroine Ariel was left to animator Glen Keane who would go on to animate other disney characters such as the Beast, aladdin and Tarzan. He wanted the heroine to be reminiscent of the traditional disney Princesses while at the same time being relatable to the ‘modern...

Hello everybody, I just wanted to inform that this artigo is completely my personal option. There is absolutely no need to have a hissy fit if my opinion doesn’t conform to yours. Feel free to comment what your own ranking is if you wish. Anyways, let’s get on with this ranking.

#14 Merida

“I’m a boy with long hair.”
“I’m a boy with long hair.”

Merida is one of the most hideous animated females ever. She just screams ugly, unfeminine and manliness. She is the epitome of what’s wrong with strong female characters (or just females in general). Her head shape is hideous and makes her look...

While the Princess Party line of DVD's had the goal of accompanying disney Princess-themed parties, the Princess Stories line has the much mais general purpose of serving as everyday entertainment for young girls everywhere. As a result, there's a significant dip in quality from the Party line to the Stories line. We're going to take and look and see just how bad that decline is!

DVD Content
Just like in my last review, I'll go over all of the categories of the DVD one at a time. But first, it's necessary to talk about the presentation. When you first pop in the disk, you're shown a young girl's...

I was in a mood to do a ranking list, so I thought I should make a list of my topo, início 10 scenes from DP movies. So, here we go.

10. cinderela - waking up
Have you ever seen anyone waking up so gorgeous. Her elegance is to die for. She's looking adorable and elegant all at once, with her piggytails. I amor how she flips over and puts travesseiro overhead, not wanting to wake up from the dream. And isn't she cute, not telling the dream to the birdie friends. I like how she was so much in the moment, holding a pillow. And then, old killjoy strikes, haha! I amor how she gave us a peak into her other side,...

 Type Two, "The Helper"
Type Two, "The Helper"
Hello, everyone! This is the first installment of my new series analyzing the DPs' personalities according to the Enneagram system.

Introduction: Understanding the Enneagram

So, the Enneagram is a pretty complicated system of classifying personalities. Basically, everyone has a core type, expressed as a number of One through Nine. This is the most straightforward descrição of someone’s personality.

Here’s a basic rundown of each type:
1: perfectionistic, rational, idealistic
2: generous, warm-hearted, nurturing
3: ambitious, image-conscious, charming
4: sensitive, dreamy, moody
5: cerebral,...
