Yes, I believe in ghosts. I don't really believe in sobrenatural creatures, as the legends stand.

When it comes to ghosts, I believe that they exist, but they rely on memory and legacy. If a being isn't worth remembering, it won't have a ghost or spirit. That's why people don't encounter the ghosts of dead flies, roaches, and sewer rats. Nobody remembers them as individuals after they die.

When it comes to sobrenatural creatures, I believe some form of them exist, but they're probably vastly different than how the most common legends portray them. The legends are probably based on real encounters, but have likely been embellished for dramatic story telling effects.

Encounters...
This happened about 15 years ago, I guess. I was helping some old family friends mover out of their house. I remember hearing that they were moving because their house kept crashing and things were falling over or something like that. I thought they were getting burglarized or vandalized. I was only 6 or 7, so I never paid much attention to their conversations. I remember i had taken all the silverware out of the drawer and separated them, then I went into the living room to get some bubble embrulho, envoltório to package them, but when I stepped back into the kitchen, the light was turned off. When I turned them back on, the knives and forks were standing upright link, and all the cabinets were open. When I called out for someone, they all fell over. Nothing happened to the spoons, they were still where I left them.
Later, I went to get the something out of the bathroom and the lights turned out again, but this time while i was in there. When i turned the lights back on, the mirror shattered. It wasn't a dramatic shards everywhere shattering. The shards just landed on the counter. It was still terrifying, though.

I'm also pretty sure I say the ghost of a friend's dead cat. I made friends with a girl that moved where I lived from the other side of Texas. The first time I went to her house, they were still kind of unpacking things. When she showed he her house, I saw two cachorros and two gatos (a black and a brown cat) wandering around the house. Later on, we were looking through a stack of pictures her mom just unpacked. She pulled out one picture of the brown cat and said "Aww, I miss *whatever his name was*", and she told me that he died a couple days before they moved. I told her that I just saw that cat laying on her bed. She asked me what it looked like, I told her it had two different colored ears. She told me that her cat had the same two different colored ears. (You couldn't see both ears in the picture because he was half hiding under something)

My mom told me that I used to talk to a man outside my window, when we lived on the 4th floor. I would tell her that he was in the Army (we lived on base) and he told me to be a good little girl and things like that.

The strange thing is that i actually do have a vague memory of a man in a military uniform, wearing a yellow trench casaco over it, with burns on his face. I don't know if this is just a coincidence, or just something I made up.

The Yellow Trench casaco and burns on his face may mean that he was a fireman for the Army or something...

No ,ac actual trench coat. not a fireman's jacket. I know what a trench casaco looks like.

Yes and yes.

When I was about thirteen, I was best friends with this girl who lived an hora away. So, when we'd spend time together, we'd usually spend the whole weekend at each other's houses.
One weekend, I was over there during the summer. This other girl (who Bestie was friend's with) was there too, and we decided other-girl should stay the night too. At the time, we thought both Bestie's parents had run to the grocery store. So, we figured we'd ask and see if it was okay with them as soon as they got home, while Other-Girl ran down the block to her house to ask her parents. A few minutos after she left, Bestie and I smelled charcoal burning, like the grill had been started. We walk to the opposite side of the house, peep out the back window, and see her dad fighting with the grill. We figure we we're wrong about who went grocery shopping, and go out and ask him if Other-Girl could stay. He didn't turn around and look at us, and he just nodded, but he was struggling to light the grill, so we didn't think anything of it.
We head back in side, Other-Girl comes back, and we start watching something on the T.V. Bestie's dad sweeps past us and up the stairs. (The stairs were right off the living room, and we were in the living room.) He didn't come back down, so we figured he couldn't get the grill started, and decided to take a nap instead.
About an hora later, we hear a car pool up, and get excited because we were starving and a car meant that Bestie's mom had returned with food. She comes in, arms laden with groceries.
Followed por Bestie's dad.

Now, there was only one stairway that led upstairs. As I said, the stairway was right off the living room, behind the front door. Short of climbing out a window, there was no way for her dad to have gotten into the front yard without passing us, which he didn't.

Yes, I do believe in ghosts. I know that some of them are really mean jerkwads, and some of them are really nice people who want to look out for their loved ones while they are alive, and I know that there is an 'invisible' cat in my room just waiting to pounce me.
Apparently I look like a scratching post to her...e_e

However, what you see in filmes like the Exorcism is completely ridiculous to me. And I know that ghosts don't do that, they just make people do crazy things like kill themselves or others or act really stupid if they feel like being funny.

I also believe that when I die I am going to haunt people I don't like and spend time with people I amor that have died already.

Also, be forewarned, if you do become a ghost...be prepared to see lots of bugs and lots of HUGE bugs. Oh, and don't let people bug you. Make sure you have a strong will, spirit, and mind.
:D
I am weird, no?

And have a picture of the infamously cute Pabu! 8D

I do not believe in anything supernatural.

There was this one time when I was staying in a small hotel during a road trip. The night was young and gatos and cachorros were already chasing the fuck out of each other all over the sky. And I had been having trouble sleeping for the past few days. So I stayed up for quite a while after my comrades were swaying to a symphony of hardcore snores. I left the room for a walk, looking down the weakly-lit hallway, I saw what appeared to be a morbidly obese man vomiting his bowels out all over the floor. There was something funny about it, maybe I was a little light-headed. I walked over to him, his face was red, he had salmoura, pickle eyes and a creepy haircut. It was like something out of a horror B-movie. I was startled; taking a few steps back, I exclaimed in a loud voice "..The fuck?".

And then I looked again, his face was ordinary, he wasn't fat anymore, and the pile of vomit wasn't as big as my original perception implied. I then concluded that my mind was playing tricks and that the guy wasn't really possessed , proceeded to routinely greet the man and run back to my room and hide under my blanket.

I had a very good night sleep...

Yes, I've had some personal experiences. I also know two girls who are psychic and can communicate and/or see spirits, have absolutely no reason to not believe either one of them.

Also, my belief in spirits sort of is entertwined with my belief in God and demons, as well as the Devil. anjos and demons can exist, as well as God and the Devil themselves.

I won't have any problems knowing that there are spirits of those who passed away that couldn't find the light or path to Heaven after death, will know they be damned to Hell and refuse to go on, or simply are unaware or refuse to face the realization and truth that they are dead that still lurk this world.

I believe there's a spiritual and spirit world all around us, whether we are aware or wish to acknowledge or believe it or not. :)
