Ancient Egyptian history is very complex, as the region was conquered and colonized por several different civilizations and nations. I assume you are asking about the race of Pharaonic Egyptians, before the Greek and Roman invasions. Judging por hieroglyphics and geographic location, as well as presence of Nubians (from what is now Sudan) and Assyrians (from Mesopotamia), the Ancient Egyptians were probably dark or tanned skinned, enough to be African or Middle Eastern. Keep in mind that Hellenistic hieroglyphs show subjects with the famous "Greek" noses, but these were probably made when Egypt was part of the Ptolemaic kingdom (Cleopatra's time).

based on their hieroglyphs, they probably had mid-brown skin color and had slightly slanted eyes. i guess you could call them asiatic blacks.
