I was just online and came across this artigo a woman wrote about amor and her husband and it instantly reminded me of the Stelena/Delena triangle. Stefan loves Elena and she knows that and he seems like the better choice but she'll never be truly happy or satisfied. Damon would have given her that and if she chooses Stefan she'll just be bored in the future wondering what life could have been like.
