Now I know, it's really talked about and some get tired of it, so if you don't want to read it, go ahead. But I made this post because I wanted to let others know what's better: Dubs or Subs?

And my answer is...it depends on who the viewer is.

Now, let's just use Fruits Basket as an example. It's extremely popular and both the animê and mangá have been positively reviewed por many. Now I (and many other people) watched Fruits Basket DUBBED, and I absolutely loved it! It was my first ever anime, and with it in English, I understood everything and it wasn't so complicated.

Then some years later, I decided to watch it SUBBED, because I never ever watched it in its original Japanese. And I hated. It was annoying and Yuki sounded really weird (I know his voice actress was female btw).

For many, it'll depend on which you watched first: the dub or the sub. Because if you watched an animê in Japanese, you'll be mais used to it in Japanese than in English or some other language. The same thing can go for dubs.

Many do also say that "If ya wanna be a true otaku or animê fan, watch it subbed" and honestly, that's sort of....well in the nicest way I can say it, is a really bullshitty excuse. It's YOUR decision whether or not you want to watch an animê in English or Japanese.

Or...some may say THERE'S mais FEELINGS IN THE JAPANESE VOICES SO WATCH IT SUBBED. That could be true, but that's how you hear it. Not how others may. I really like the dub of Attack on Titan (I watched it originally subbed and then it was announced to be dubbed so I watched that as well). It was weird at first, but I got used to it.

Basically, if YOU like animê in Japanese, good. Same thing if you like it in English. At the end, it doesn't really matter.

Mizu: Eh, Kasai! Wake up!
Kasai: Ehhh...*rolls out of bed*
Mizu: Mama and Otosan are probably waiting for us!
Meanwhile, downstairs...
Mama: Do you wonder where Mizu and Kasai are?
Otosan: Nope.
Mama: Me neither.

At school
Chikyu: Did you see Mizu and Kasai? They look CAH-RAHZY!`
Mizu: Ehh..Typical Chikyu. She's talking about me and Kasai like we're crazy.
Chikyu: Which you are. *walks off*
At recess
Mizu:: *lays down por tree, sighs* When will Chikyu ever learn?
Aisu: Hi, Mizu.
Mizu: Ah, hey, Aisu. Eh, aren't you friends with Chikyu? *gets up*
Aisu: *laughs* I don't take it very seriously.
Mizu: *sighs*...
