TLC planning 20th anniversary tour: Are you ready for their 1st tour since Left-Eye's passing?

The surviving members of R&B trio TLC are planning to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album por hitting the road for their first U.S. tour in nine years.

Singers Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozanda ‘Chilli’ Thomas announced the news on Wednesday (April 25th, 2012), exactly 10 years after rapper Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes was killed in a tragic car accident while on vacation in Honduras.

T-Boz reveals the “Waterfall” hitmakers are in talks with LaFace Records música mogul Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid in a bid to acknowledge the 1992 release of “Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip” with a string of live concerts.

She tells Essence.com, “We’re going on tour; we are in negotiations now with L.A. Reid, so we’ll see what happens. A lot of cool things are coming up.”

The duo is also working on a TV biopic documenting the band’s rise to fame, and Chilli revealed they have also been busy recording new material.

She adds, “Another TLC album? Yes, that’s for sure! We’ll have new música right after the movie drops. We have everybody that was there with us from the beginning on board. We’ll definitely have a tour; I just don’t know what we’ll call it yet.”

TMZ.com reports the TLC stars have already scheduled five gigs for their comeback tour – and they may even try to bring Left Eye back from the dead por using the same holographic technology Dr. Dre used to ‘resurrect’ Tupac Shakur for the Coachella festivals earlier this month.

TLC’s last U.S. appearance as a trio took place in New York in June, 2003. T-Boz and Chilli performed a handful of shows in Japão in 2010, while they also sang on an episode of “American Idol” last year
