"Will we get a Delena moment as good as the one last week when Elena told Damon that it would be Stefan’s amor for him, not her, that would save Stefan from himself? “It won’t involve sheets or a mattress or pillows, but yes, there’s been an evolution of a friendship and an emotional intimacy between Damon and Elena since Stefan left, and we’ll continue to see growth in that area.”

Yes, I cannot wait to see them in the finale. Please read the recap of the last episode (2X21 - The Sun Also Rises review link above). The author gives so much details and explains so many great things that happened in that episode for DE. That read assured me 300% that DE is epic.
