Okay, so just so you know, I went into this knowing I was most probably going to get balsted por many fãs on this club. However, I just have to get my point out somehow. Let me just say this: Silver does not exist in the Sonic continuity. He simply doesn't. But before you strat raging and blasting this article, though I think someone else has already posted something like this, listen to what I have to say.
Silver can travel through time using what are known as Chaos Emralds. No dur. According to Sonic '06, he was out to destroy the Iblis Trigger. Little did he know that if he destroyed the Iblis Trigger, he would indeed be destroying himself in the process. Now you could say that he had no idea what he was going to do was a complet SUICIDE mission, or you could just say he knew what he was getting to, which requires some huge hedgehog balls.
You see, por destroying what essentially caused the destruction of Mobius, or Earth, or whatever planet they're on, he is destroying the past that led up to him. Let me put it this way:
Elise blows out the Flames of Disaster. This means that MEphilies and the FoD can never fuse to form Iblis. Silver was born into the destroyed world. When Silver corrected the past, the future no longer led to a destroyed world, which was were Silver was born in, again. This meant that the series of events that eventually led to Silver's birth NEVER HAPPENED.
Once the FoD were blown out, the old future, where Silver began, was destroyed. A chicken cannot be born without the egg that it hatched from, no matter where the chicken goes.
But all hope is not lost! Silver may still exist, just not the same Silver you and I knew in Sonic '06. You see, in Sonic Rush, SEGA opened the door to separate dimensions. With this, endless possibilities, were opened. Silver may have been born into an apocolypse in his original dimension. But in another dimension, he might be alive and married to Blaze. In another, he might be a criminal. In another, he might have a fetish for little children. In another, he mightbe some sort of a superhero, and so on and so forth.
You see? I just explained all the possibilities of all your fã fictions actually possibliy happening. This artigo isn't as bad as you thought it would be, huh?
I'm not saying Silver doesn't exist anymore. I'm just saying that the original Silver from Sonic '06 (cough cough) was erased due to the rewriting of the furture. But, like I said, you could say he knew he was going on this suicide mission the whole time, which calls for some big guts. With this at your side, you can stand firm and say Silver 'died' heroicly. The reason I wrote "died" like that is because he didn't really "die". he just never existed to start with. But again, this only applies to the original Silver.
If any of you are confused on this, don't feel ashamed or embarrassed. I can say anything about your fellow fans, but I promise to not laugh. It took me a while to grasp this and put together all the pieces. ^-^
