Put your hand up if you were disappointed/upset/annoyed that there was no DE in 2x16. I know I was. Then I realised that, as aggravating as it might be to see the amor triângulo take a back-seat, it might not be a bad thing that the writers are taking it slow. Whatever you do, DON'T fall into the trap of assuming that because we didn't get any DE these past 3 episodes, then it means we've fallen off the writers' radar. Thoughts on the future of DE and How TVD will end

Now that I think about it. You know how in a past interview the writers said they already have an idea of how they want the show to end. I bet Elena doesn’t end up with either brother and ends up having bebês with Matt or someone b/c in the episode “The Last Day”Elena confessed that she never wanted to be a vampire. I think she will stick with that b/c she wants to have a human life along with having kids and everything else that goes with it and that would make tvd different from all the rest of the fandoms. Now that I’ve read the interview, I honestly don’t understand what the big deal is. This was blown way out of proportion imo, probably due to the fact that Damon and Elena fãs have been waiting so long and our couple is prone to taking baby steps progressivo, para a frente that are followed por huge steps backward. My Thoughts on SE as 'Soulmates'

From the beginning of The Vampire Diaries, all the writers have done has praised SE e.g:
"This show is always going to be about Stefan and Elena. It has to be. They're soulmates."~KW
As a DE fan, comments like these have always lowered my confidence in DE becoming endgame or even getting together at all! So I've always tried to concentrate on the writers actions rather than what they say. And from that I can see that DE have to be soul mates or twin flames or whatever you want to call it. They can't be anything else. I've especially seen this proven this season.

Well, after thinking this through, I finally decided to start this article. It's not bashing at all, (so please don't if necessary), but it's just about my view on what I've read in TVD books & seen on the show so far.

My comments about why I don't think Damon and Bonnie are right in the books.

Yes I know I've published loads about this here, but I just thought you should be able to see my comments from The Vampire Diaries books spot about whether or not Bonnie should be with Damon.

I actually don't think he is falling for Bonnie, but is caring for her. I think he is in amor with Elena, and I thought that was pretty obvious. There was nothing to suggest to me in the books that Damon had deeper feelings for Bonnie and vice versa.

What Bonnie felt for Damon was just a crush, just like she crushed on most of the guys in the books. I think that if there really had been deeper feelings...
