Does anyone else notice in the books that when Damon talks about both Elena and Bonnie, when Damon talks about Elena, all he seems to talk about is her looks/physical appearance. But when Damon talks about Bonnie, he talks about her personality/essence. Damon is able to look past Bonnie's physical appearance because physically, she doesn't fit his 'ideal type'. I think that out of all the women that Damon has interacted with on the show, Bonnie is the one girl who Damon respects the most. Damon doesn't even show Elena the same kind of genuine respect that he shows for or towards Bonnie. That, to me, says a lot. I could care less about the Delena kiss. What I'm really wondering is why does Damon get bit por a wolf, is it possible that the spoiler about Damon calling Bonnie's name twice urgently is what led to the bite...could it be that Damon may have possibly saved Bonnie's life and took the bite instead...that the "I owe you" was repaid and if so, could this lead to Bonnie feeling guilty seguinte season (looking for a cure as well) as well as serving a purpose for a bamon bond/friendship.

I amor how Book Damon repeatedly mentioned in Midnight about how strong and tough Bonnie is, that she has a strong inner core, even though on the outside, it seemed to be the complete opposite. Bonnie was really emotional on the outside but Damon "knows" that on the inside, she's really strong individual. It's the same way that Bonnie "knows" that Damon is a vulnerable, gentle person on the deep inside, even though on the outside, he appears tough, dominant and strong. I admit, I'm a little worried about Damon/Bonnie for the endgame of the Show series, just because I know that DE fãs are like a cult who might have a huge influence over the series endgame. But it wouldn't make sense to me otherwise if Stefan/Elena don't end up together. Stefan/Elena are Soul Mates and I don't think there's any way around that. Honestly, in 2.18, when Damon looked down at Bonnie's unconscious body and stroked her cheek gently, to me, that was the first time that I actually saw real, deep, genuine conflicted feelings from Damon. Like, internal feelings, not external. I felt like I was seeing Damon's subconscious briefly in that scene and it was really powerful and intense.
