I was thinking of this while watching the other dia the Nostalgia Critic's review of the cisne Princess, and how critical and overly nitpicky he was in general towards this movie...

And that made me think how almost all non-Disney filmes are treated in this way (of course, there are a few notable exceptions as the Studio Ghibli films and the Dreamworks ones), that audiences feel the need that if they are animated filmes which aren't Disney, they must be held in an impossibly high standard and they must please every demand of the audience.

Why is that? Why is it that any animated non-Disney movie must be held to a pretentious standard? Why can't filmes just be themselves and relax, if they want to be fairy tale musicais they can be, not every movie needs to be as "dramatic" as Secret of Nimh or the Prince of Egypt. (some of the few animated non-Disney films that the critics praise for once).

I don't get it. If disney repeats the same cliches, for many people it's all fine and dandy, but these filmes must only be about dramatic and pretentious content in order to be appreciated.
I saw other artigo with tha same topic and I don't agree with. I think meg is beautifiul and many artigos didn't even include her. Also I saw an artigo saying that the thought jessica was the hottest, but not be mean I find her kinda ugly. So here's my list of the prettiest animated characters in my opinion(by the way i'm a girl)I've never seen princess and the frog but when I saw pictures of tiana and charlotte I thought they were pretty so I had to add them here.

Hi! I've been on here for quite a few years now and have never done a favorito disney movie list, I mean I have in my head but I've never posted an artigo about it. It's always something I wanted to do but I always found it hard to actually put a list together as I'm so indecisive lol. I did a topo, início 15 instead of a topo, início 10 so it was a bit easier for me. I sometimes struggle to express why I like certain things, so apologies if I repeat myself a lot in the article! Also a few of these I like pretty much equally, especially in the middle. These aren't necessarily objectively the 'best' disney movies,...

10. Gay Purr-ee

I loved watching this movie when I was a little girl so when I finally found the dvd last ano and bought it I was so happy! I felt like a child again when I was watching it because it brought back so many memories. I amor Judy Garland in this and the songs she sang in this especially Paris Is a Lonely Town and I amor how original the plot is unlike some animated filmes we see these days with all the overdone plots. The reason why this movie isn't higher on my list is because it kinda drags on during some parts of the film which makes me lose interest quickly

10) Miriam (The Prince of Egypt)
I believe that Dreamworks' "The Prince of Egypt" is one of the most underrated films ever created, and Miriam is no exception. Only a supporting character in a film that is almost entirely about her brother, Moses, Miriam manages to shine despite her rather minor role. She isn't traditionally pretty (paling in comparison to the lithe and exotic Tzipporah,) but she has an innate, inner goodness that shows throughout her being. Despite...
