Ok seriously, probably I didn't read the books (HP) good enough, but where is it written that they played in the nineties? Like I always sort of thought they played nowadays (as well as I thought the filmes would). I just really wanna know. Posted over a year ago

JK told us that Harry was born in 1980, so the books would take place in the early nineties, since they start when he's eleven. Also, the books were published in the nineties, so it was "nowadays." over a year ago
