I chose Nick because he shot down Judy's dreams just as much as Bogo did. At least Bogo gave her time to prove herself even if only because he had no other choice.

True. Very true indeed. Though we do learn later why he is the way he is. Still no excuse though, and he should have apologized. One could argue that when nick stood up to Bogo to defend Judy, that was his way of apologizing. Nick may not be the type to actually say "sorry", as Judy was.
