Is it ok to send BL mangá and Doujinshi from Japão to US?

Hi.
I have a pergunta about sending BL mangá from Japão to US.
I bought a lot of BL mangá and Doujinshi and sent to my sister.(She lives in Japan)
maybe 20 BL mangá and 10 Doujinshi.
I wonder,,,is that ok to send that from Japão to US?
I'm afraid if we get in trouble to do that...
It's not shota or loli. but Doujinshi is R rated.
Has anyone send from Japão to US?
any trouble? or no problem?
Overseas shipping is available at some Japanese BL store...so I bet people buying from them,,,
