Quote: "Whatever they're planning... we intend to be ready."
Agent Nick Fury is the director of the secret government agency of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate). He was assigned originally to lead the 'metahuman special ops', including such members as Weapon X, Warbird and Captain America. Trask also worked under him briefly, working on mutant containment measures and counter measures, but eventually severed his ties with SHIELD. Fury's main troubles include rogue mutants and organizations on par with SHIELD's capabilities, like Hydra.

When mutants became publicly known, Nick was ordered por the government not to get involved, but he disobeyed orders and indirectly assisted the X-Men and Brotherhood in freeing their comrades from Area 51, including his old friend Logan.

With the appearance of X23, who broke into one of the SHIELD's compounds and roubou their data on the X-Men, Fury again broke the rules por allowing X23 to run rogue after Logan apprehended her and set her free at the Xavier Mansion. Though since she no longer was a Hydra operative, she was likely to be no further threat. X23 and Wolverine was also largely responsible for allowing SHIELD to capture most of those in Hydra, including Omega Red.

Fury, under orders, eventually released Trask into his custody so the scientist could continue working on his sentinel project. They wanted to be ready for whatever Apocalypse had planned for the world, but even the new Sentinels were no match for Apocalypse's horsemen, and thus Fury had to rely on the help of the X-Men and the mutant Leech to save the world.

He's an assassin. He's a mercenary. He's Victor Creed, 300 pounds of raging hate in procurar of an outlet. A sadistic and amargo, amarga man, Sabretooth relishes the fact that he knows mais about Wolverine's past than Logan himself. Despite his animalistic nature and unpredictable rage, Victor Creed is a very crafty opponent, easily Wolverine's...

Torpid does not speak, and may not be capable of it due to physical injury or childhood trauma, but she seems very friendly, especially around Spyke or Callisto, who she seems to regard as surrogate parents.

One of the lesser members of the Morlocks. "Torpid" can touch someone and cause them to be immobilized for hours. The first person we see her touch is paralyzed over night and then Berzerker for a least a few hours. No clue as to the control she has over her powers. She is shown wearing gloves, so it is assumed she can't turn her power on and off (much like Rogue).

The Hungan is a dreaded foe from Storm's past. Apparently he once was worshipped por a small tribe of Kenyan's, almost as a god, until the true, greater powers of Storm drove him out, and she was proclaimed their Goddess. When she left, he assumed power, but his desire for revenge was not so easily slaked. Taking with him some of his elite tribesmen, he journeyed to Bayville and captured Storm's soul in his scepter, taking control of her body and powers.

The other X-Men and especially Spyke (who shattered his scepter) spoiled his plans, and last he was seen was being hurled into the ocean por a Storm powered hurricane.
