I huffed in exhaustion and effort. I tried to be far away from her as possible but of course, Leah was faster than anyone or anything. I often wondered before if she could beat Edward.

I realized Leah would pursue me all the way to Canada. She would follow me to annoy me further. So, I turned around, faced her and growled at her – every sharp teeth bared, paws apart and ready, tail straight.

“Hanging out is different from dating.” I insisted on Jenny as she pointed out the amount of time I spent with Vincent.

Over the past months, we have become almost inseparable. We ate lunch and jantar together, studied together, listened to música together, watched filmes together – he even braved a chick flick once. I was engrossed and amused with his tortured reactions mais than the movie itself.

I tried to do as many activities as I could during the day. The exhaustion and weariness did not stop me from cramming my day’s schedule full. I was exhausted and weary because the tears and the pain came with a vengeance during the nights – cold, starless, lonely nights without the amor of my life.

Jacob starred in my dreams every night. His face haunted me relentlessly. I always woke up in the middle of the night shaking with sobs. My parents rushed to my room and tried to console me during the first few weeks until I begged them not to. I quickly learned to muffle my sobs in the gushing...

I woke up to Edward sitting beside me. I yawned and laid my head on his chest.
“Good morning,” I said.

“Ugh, what time is it?”
“Almost eleven thirty,” he said chuckling.
“Wow, I slept late. Good thing it’s Saturday,” I said.

Every shade of green – jade, olive, esmeralda – looked dull. The trees held no interest for me. We snuck out. We wanted to be alone, away from the watchful eyes and listening ears of everyone. He took me to our favorito place here in La push –up on the cliff. We were sitting on the edge of the highest peak, our feet dangling over the edge.

The sky was a perfect setting for a night like this – the full moon hung just right overhead. The sky filled with thousands of twinkling stars.
