Chapter Two <3
“Oh, crap. This isn’t good.”
Leah Clearwater said to her little brother, Seth. He flinched nervously.
“What am I going to do?” He said, fearfully. His eyes grew large, and worry filled, but he couldn’t keep them off of Alena. “Damn, she’s beautiful,” he thought out-loud.
“Hey, watch it, they’re coming back,” Leah whispered, staring straight ahead at the other cars.
“Seth? Leah? Oh my God, I’ve missed you guys!” Alena screamed, stepping into the backseat of the car, right seguinte to Seth, where he could smell her. She smelled like vanilla and pineapple.
“Hey!”
Alena hugged him, wrapping her skinny, pale arms around his neck. He hugged her back, a big, toothy grin spreading across his face. Leah rolled her dark eyes.
“How have you been?” She scream-asked him, letting go and sitting back in her seat.
“I’ve been alright, how’s being one of the youngest super modelos in the world going for you? And how’s Canada?” He asked as she buckled her seatbelt, and smiled.
“Uhm, it’s been pretty good, actually. Being the only fourteen-year-old there is a little intimidating; but apparently I’m the one who does the best, so I guess my age is just like the cereja on top.” her smile brightened, and Seth almost died inside.
“Wow, that sounds, like, really cool!” He said. Leah smirked.
“So, Leah, how’s everything with Sam?”
At that moment, everyone, even Stevie went silent. Seth could see the pain in his sister’s eyes. He frowned.
“Uh, they broke up when you were gone. He has a fiancé, Emily, now. She’s a nice girl,” he said.
“Oh, I’m sorry, Leah! I’m so sorry!”
Leah fake smiled, and looked at Alena. “Its’ alright.” she murmured. Alena sighed.

When they got back to the Reservation, the pack stood in Seth’s driveway. Leah looked out of the window at them, and ran out of the car. Seth looked worried.
“What’s wrong?” Alena asked.
“I don’t know…” Seth trailed off, and stepped out of the car. Alena fallowed him.
“Sam, Jake, what’s wrong?”
Sam had an angry, yet worried, look in his dark eyes. Leah looked upset. Jacob, well, Jacob looked just angry, like he normally was.
“The newborn. She was here. Jenny. Paul attacked her, and killed her. Her mate is looking for revenge, Aaron; but he’s also looking for a new mate.”
At that moment, Seth thought of Alena, who, he forgot, was behind her.
“A newborn? A mate? Who’s Jenny and Aaron?” She asked. They all turned to her, and her normally-pale complexion turned crimson.
“Who are you?” Jacob asked. Alena turned even mais red.
“Uhm, my name’s Alena Christiani. I’m friends with Seth and Leah. I just moved, from Canada.”
“You’re the Alena that Seth’s been talking non-stop about. You are beautiful…” Embry trailed off, and Seth smacked the back of his head.
“Hey, watch it, Seth!” Embry growled. Seth rolled his eyes.
“Boys, keep your mind focused. There‘s a bloodsucker walking around the Reservation.”
Alena looked even mais confused, and she sighed. “Do I want to know what that is?”
“Uhm, come with us. And don’t worry, we wont hurt you, Seth would kill us.” Quill laughed. Sam frowned, but led the way back to Emily’s.
Alena’s POV:
When we reached a house, it was quaint, and subtle. It was a gorgeous little home. They all lead the way, and I grabbed Seth’s hand. I felt him smile, but I ignored it. When we walked inside, the first thing I noticed was the girl who was right there. I gasped.
“Hey, guys!” She said, and looked at me. “Who are you, sweetheart?”
I smiled at her. “I’m Alena Christiani.”
“I’m Emily, Sam’s fiancé.”
Emily was beautiful, but one thing stood out. The long, rosa, -de-rosa scar on the side of her face. It went from her forehead to her neck. I didn’t mean to, but I stared, and I saw Sam growl. Seth squeezed my hand to tell me to stop. I looked down at my stilettos.
“Your very beautiful,” I said, when I looked up at her, and smiled.
“Thank you, you are very beautiful, yourself.” She smiled back at me.
“Okay, so, can anyone please explain what a bloodsucker is? Please?” I asked.
Sam sighed. “We’re werewolves. Shape shifters. We shape into wolves. Bloodsuckers are vampires.”
I laughed. “This is some kind of joke, right? Like, hah, that stuff doesn’t exist. What are ya’ll? Wickens?” I looked around to see some sort of laugh, giggle, or playful look in their eyes. There was none.
“No, Lena, we’re not kidding. There are such things as vampiros and werewolves. We wish there were, but there’s not,” Leah said.
“If there were such things as vampires, how come I haven’t been killed por one already?” I laughed. They all rolled their eyes.
“Oh you might be…” Paul trailed off, and Seth growled.
“Watch it, Paul.”
He rolled his eyes. “Oh, shut it, Seth.”
“There’s a vampire, he’s looking for a new mate. Jenny, she was very beautiful. He’s looking for her replacement, and he’s looking for revenge. We’re worried that he might go after Paul’s wife, Rachel, for revenge; but he reads minds, and according to Edward, he’s thinking about going after the girl Seth has been thinking about. You,” Sam said, looking over at me. Seth, thinking about me? God, is that some kind of joke, too?
“I still don’t believe this shit.”
“You want proof? Fine. Come outside.”
Paul ran out of the house, and I fallowed him, staying on the porch. He growled at me, and something happened. He transformed. He transformed into a huge, towering, gray wolf. I cowered, and felt myself fall to the ground, and my vision went fuzzy.
“ALENA!” Emily screamed.
After a while, I finally woke again.
“Ow. My head hurts.” I rubbed the back of my head, and frowned. Emily laughed.
“You fainted. You alright?” Paul asked, he was fully clothed and back in his human state. Seth looked worried.
“Yeah, I’m alright.”
Seth hugged me, and I hugged him back, surprised. “I was so worried,” he said. I felt myself smile.
“I’m alright.”
He let go, and smile. “Let me get you home.”
“Okay.”
He walked me out of the house, and I held his hand. Something was going through me. I don’t know what it was, but I had some strange attraction for him that wasn’t there before. And I could tell, he felt something for me.
“Thanks for getting me out of there. It was way too much for me…” I trailed off. He smiled at me, and sat down on my porch. He pulled me down seguinte to him, gently. “I could tell. Don’t worry. They’re not going to get you, Aaron wont. Trust me.” He wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug. I hugged him back.
“I do.” I laid my head on his chest, and smiled. He brought his finger to my chin, and gracefully lifted it up, to put his warm lips on mine.
And at that moment, I felt like there was no one else alive in the world.
“Oh, crap. This isn’t good.”
