Though it is not uncommon for this partnership to break down or death so they will find another but there are some who become a maker of many for several reasons. protection, coven, or just doesn't follow one on one relationships and have many on different levels. This may also include vanity. How many can I bring over.
If we think about the various vampiros in filmes and literature over the years most have had mais than one follower. vampiros are supposedly a vain creature... so they'd want mais than one follower or prodigy to admire them/worship them.

I answered this pergunta on the basis of having met a dozen or 2 self proclaimed vampiros from VA to LA. I don't doubt their claim because I've learned there is much mais out there than we know. So until proven other wise I've gone with it. From what I've witnessed they pretty much are no different from us but hate sun. They dont burn up just get sick and feel drained. Thats besides the blood thing and yes they drink it or feed or eat very meat.
Not everyone can live for mais than the usual human lifetime. I imagine if its not accidental, the vampire would have to take that into consideration when choosing a companion. A companion would mean something else to a vampire. To live mais lifetimes you would have to feel young always in your head and probably an a sense of unfinished buisness in your life.
