"Vida and Caleb are staying with Abby tonight."
He looks up from his paperwork, intrigued por her comment—the first in an hora of silent working.
"Oh yeah? I didn’t realize they had their bags with them."
She smiles at the restraint he’s showing, the determination he’s fighting to mask his excitement. They’re not alone in the touro pen, after all.
"She packed one for them. I gave her the key when she picked them up from school."
"Sounds like they’ll have a good time, I’m sure."
His voice is strained, thick with the hope of a night to themselves. He isn’t ready to let himself get excited—Vida wasn’t entirely cured of her homesickness, and Caleb had stayed up watching a movie with his father the night before when he should have been in bed—but the thought of a night alone with her was enough to get him giddy.
"I do not think they will be the only ones enjoying themselves, Tony."
He licks his lips involuntarily at the implication behind her words. Before he can respond, she speaks once more.
"McGee is bringing his Wii over. And you know how much he loves playing with the children."
In the corner, Tim snickers quietly. Tony’s face drops slightly and she can’t help but laugh.

Just a small Tiva poem I wrote in five minutes, hope you enjoy it! :)
Stuck in Stationary
You break my spirit,
We build then we break,
Sick of the games,
It's time to explain.
We've come this close
to what I think could be
something real.
You run and I hide,
We're falling behind,
It's time to catch up,
To where we're meant to be.
Stuck in stationary,
Both pushing forward,
But we're still the same,
Time to try harder.
You say life was meaningless,
My mind's blown, I'm speechless,
Things are looking up,
Don't wanna leave this to just dumb luck.
Time to make a move,
For things to improve,
Why can't you see,
What everyone believes?
I'm ready to say,
the things I've been scared to,
worried the words won't come,
Should I tell you?
You found out,
I'm glad,
You amor me too,
Now I'm not sad.
Please rate and comments are LOVE.
