Damon has done things. Good things, but i think stefan is more selfless then Damon

Damon spent the first 9 episode trying to save Stefan. Guess that doesn't count, does it?

Yes! And btw Damon said he was only saving Stefan because he OWNED him.

What Stefan did for Damon in the end of s2 was amazing, especially because he had to leave with Klaus, he lost his humanity and Elena to save Damon.

But they both saved each other many times, it's crazy to compare. Whatever Damon did to save Stefan's life, I'm sure that in the same situation Stefan would do the same for Damon, and whatever Stefan did for Damon, Damon would do for Stefan if the situation was reversed.

But why I chose Damon is because of the little things, especially in their relationship with Elena.
Since the beginning of the show Stefan was always saying how bad Damon was. He has no humanity, he's a monster. And we know he was a monster too, maybe even worse than Damon.
In s2 when Damon said that epic I love you to Elena, he said: I don't deserve you but my brother does. That's pretty selfless. And then last night Stefan said to Damon: she's better off without me, sure as hell better off without you. Even when Damon is doing his best, and Stefan his worst (and that's the situation in s3) Stefan still thinks Damon's not worthy of Elena's love.
And why did Stefan tell Damon that he loves Elena in 3x13, when in the next one he pretended not to care again, why is he pretending with Elena, he keeps rejecting her but he still throws his love for Elena in Damon's face. Why, if not to torture him, make him feel guilty, or give up on Elena?
And their reactions on Klaus' words: the worst thing for Elena is the 2 of you. They had bigger impact on Damon, because for him is more important to see Elena safe, than to be with him. And for Stefan it's not. Maybe it is now, but in 2x03 he said it himself, when he was talking to Caroline:
Caroline: I shouldn’t be with him, should i? Because if there is any danger…
Stefan: I’m the last person to make that kind of decision for you. If I had follow my own advice, I would walked away from Elena a long time ago
Caroline: Have you ever think you should have?
Stefan: I know I should have, I just can’t.

But I still think there's no way to compare their selflessness, we all have different reasons for picking one or the other.

*clears throat* let's see. Damon left Elena alone because he knew Stefan loved her back in 2x08. All throughout this season he helped her get Stefan back because she loved him, and he completely put his own feelings aside. In this last episode he killed Abby even though Stefan lost the coin toss. Now Stefan, oh my. He was selfish with Elena and then tried to make her hate him. Now he doesn't want to 'feel' because if he does all he feels is 'pain'. Apparently he doesn't think loving Elena is worth that. I think we can see who the selfless one is and who the selfish one is. :)

Look it's obviously Stefan. The only selfless thing Stefan has done is save Damon all of those times...but it's his brother...honestly ANYONE would do that. Damon is just soo selfless in various ways, he even takes everyones shit for it.

Lets see, in 2x08...do you realize how selfless Damon was in the scene where he compelled Elena!? It was just heart breaking and touching! If you honestly dont think thats selfless, then your just delusional. Also, throughout the first nine episodes of season 3, Damon kept trying and trying to get Stefan back not only so he can have his brother, but also so Elena can have her love and Stefan can not be a crazy ripper.
Honestly though, this last episode 3x15 also shows how incredibly selfless Damon is! He purposely lost that coin toss so he can be the one to ruin Bonnie and Abby, he saw Stefan struggling to become good bunny killing Stefan so he did it for him. ALSO, he lost knowing that Elena would find out and once again have hatred feelings towards him, but he didn't care at all....he knows that this way Elena and Stefan can be happy....thats all that matters to Damon.

Just because you like Stefan more doesn't mean he's more selfless than Damon who some of you may not like....for reasons that will always remain unknown to me...

BTW these ^^ are just some of the major reasons that should EASILY be seen...theirs MANY more selfless moments Damon has had... :)

Stefan gets pretty much whatever he wants. I don't hate Stefan but I'm tired of him being mean. I just don't like it. It's not really him. But he gets everything, Damon has given him Elena countless times. Plus he got over the whole Katherine loves Stefan and not Damon. He was willing to let Stefan have her with no hard feelings. Sure Damon kills people but it's because he doesn't want everyone to hate Stefan. Sure Stefan gave himself to klaus for Damon, but really? Not a big deal. Damon would have done for him too.

Meh. Both are TOO selfless, if you ask me. They're selfishly selfless. Does that make sense? lol They just try too hard. And I feel bad for Elena because both are like, "You have her~" "No YOU have her~" "Nooo, she deserves you more~" "No, I'm no good for her." Like, OMG shut up, I hope someone else comes along and takes her while you guys are busy being white knights. God. (Go Elijah, lol. No, I'm not a Double E fan. xD)
