I'd say without a doubt. Stefan loves his brother more than anyone. He chose him over Elena and over himself. I think we will see Damon slowly choosing the same. Blood is thicker than water.

They were always the strongest relationship. Neither Katherine nor Elena can break them. They have been through the worst trials and prevailed. No other relationship is as strong as theirs. Stefan chose Damon over Elena. Damon would do the same.
What's unique for this show is not the damn lovetriangle. That has been done before. What makes Vampire diaries is the Salvatore brothers.
