I didn't enjoy Klaus-Rebekah-Stefan scenes. I was hoping for a better DE scenes and in general for a better episode....

I'm torn between "didn't like it" & "ok"....
For me it was the weakest S4 episode so far. Of course, one of the problems was the fact that our hopes were risen way too high, but the episode wasn't generally too good.
In "Rager" we had plenty of good scenes, new interactions, plot development & humor. Were we got two storylines: Damon/Elena/Bonnie & Rebekah/Klaus/Stefan+a little Jeremy, the rest of the cast wen't on vacations. I was hoping for better DE scenes, but Elena again was actiong without much sense: I enjoy it, I admit it (!!!), I deny it, and as usually it's Damon's fault (of course!). Bonnie was there only to say like 3 sentences.
Stefan suddenly decided to the "the bad brother" today, and he's really not good with it. I really didn't like his deal with Klaus & the way he treated & used poor Rebekah. But I'm glad she's proud she's able to love. And I don't care Stefan did it for Elena (& his future with her). If he only tired there would be another way. Is he aware Klaus will make Elena human bloodbag again? And he doesn't care at the moment... Klaus was basically himself, the bad guy. Bakah was amazing.
And I don't like the genreal idea of cure for vampirism. it was like... to obvious, to easy. I hope we'll find out it something different, like in the case of moonstone curse.
After summing up I really realize I didn't like this episode...

It was really bad but not to the point where I hated it. The flashback scenes were great as usual, and the college scenes were amongst the best as well. The problem is, we didn't get enough of them.

I'm not a shipper and never will be, but watching the Damon and Elena scenes were so intriguing and then one look by Bonnie ended it all. NO! What a waste. Why not let Elena be with Damon for a couple episodes and then see what she's doing is wrong. Flesh it out writers! Not everything has to be fast paced! It makes for great television.

Now on to the really bad parts. Can someone say, PLOT HOLES!!! Yes, I said it. I'm really big on things like this and I'm usually not picky with The vampire diaries because it's about vampires and anything goes with their mythology and logic. BUT when something's already established and they do the complete opposite, that's when I call bullshit.

1.)How the hell did Connor destroy that Hybrid!?! It's not like he quickly injected him or killed him. NO! It was a slow long death and that Hybrid should of easily been able to fight back and run at least. You can't explain that!

2.)Rebekah and Stefan's talk. So at the end of Rebekah telling Stefan her feelings she suddenly realizes she gave vital information. Wtf! That scene was so cheesy and forced. What a mess!

3.)When Rebekah went to run form Klaus, with the dagger, she was stopped by Stefan. How come Rebekah didn't push past him. She's an Original. It would of been easy. Or why not just have Klaus stop her. I call bullshit on that too!

4.)Of course Bonnie is cut short like usual. We got one nice scene in episode 1 & 2 but this time she was just the Angel on Elena's shoulder again.

I hoped it would have been better too, but I enjoyed it. The start was better than the end: Elena being more incoherent with every episode, Stefan being stupid for trusting Klaus (even though Klefan is always great), and Rebekah being treated like shit and abused once more... the writers are really exaggerating with that poor girl :(. As for the cure thing, I don't like it at all: come on, if someone could be cured from being a vampire then they would immediately turn to ash since they lived for at least 100 years! (ok, not Elena)
But the flashbacks were great (Elijah :( I want him now!)!

They set the expectations WAY too high for this episode... I was expecting better DE scenes and I really don't like this idea of a cure. And I don't like how Stefan is behaving... Stefan sucks at being bad unless he's ripper Stefan and I know that his and Klaus's plan is all gonna go to shit. And doesn't Stefan realize that Elena is just going to have to be Klaus's bloodbag again? She's better off being a vampire for eternity than being a human and being used as a blood bag for the rest of her life AND popping out a family so that in a couple hundred years Klaus can have his never-ending doppleganger supply. Honestly, what was Stefan thinking? And I didn't like how Stefan and Klaus treated Rabekah either... that was too harsh. The only thing good about this episode was the 1 good DE scene, all the shirtless guy scenes, the Jeremy scenes, the April and Rabekah scene, and Elena acting crazy at the party scene. Everything else was just unflattering to me.
