Humanity off switch

I have said this for a very long time, but turning your humanity off in the TVD world is not changing into a a completely different person. It does not make you the same as all other vampiros with their humanity off. vampiros who flipped the switch don’t all become some generic indivudal with the same wants, words, choices, ect. The switch has a different effect on everyone because the people flipping it are different in personality, dark desires, and actions.

Through seasons 1-3, we have never heard any mentions of a cure to begin with. Why, suddenly, do we see an entire season focused on a cure and the repercussions of using it?

First I'm going to discuss the flaws in the theory of a cure actually existing. Just for fun.
