The Princess and the Frog Pergunta

Why didn't Charlotte's kiss work?

IDK whether this has been asked before but I'm curious...

I just watched the movie yesterday and I was wondering... When Naveen kissed charlotte (towards the end), it didn't change him into his human form because it was past midnight.

On the other hand, when Tiana kissed him during their (frog) wedding, it worked because after he marries her, she's considered a princess as well. Yes, but ^THAT was still past midnight (probably a few days later).

So, shouldn't it NOT work as well when Tiana kissed Naveen because it was too late?

The only reason he needed to kiss charlotte before midnight was because she was only princess for one day...mardi-gras because her father was voted king. Thus, at midnight, she no longer was eligible to reverse the spell. However, Tiana married Naveen and became a permanent princess therefore her kiss worked. To reverse the spell all that needed be done was for Naveen to kiss a princess and charlotte was the only one they could think of because she was princess for a day.

Tiana is the real princess not charlotte. Also naveen loves tiana and tiana loves naveen. or charlotte kissed naveen to late.
