Hmmm this is really difficult for me because I honestly LOVE every season of Castiel. In S4 he was Castiel: badass Angel of the Lord who believes whole-heartedly in the word of his Father, but is beginning to doubt exactly whose word he is following and actually starts to feel something for a human (two humans) and is scared, and ultimately rebels because it is the right thing to do. In S5 he was cut off from Heaven, and yet still believed in his Father, believed that he would not, could not condone what his brothers were doing. He became human, learned about anger and betrayal and loss, he lost his faith and his fell, he stuck by the people he loved and gave his life (again) for the cause that he believed in. In S6 he has been torn, forced to deceive the only humans he cares about and the only beings in the world he truly believes care about him, because he really has to exercise his free will and learn that with choices come consequences. He has had to decide, for the first time in his existence, truly on his own what course of action is the right one, or rather the least wrong one. He still is fiercely loyal to his friends and a part of him has faith in his Father, though I believe that part of him is slowing slipping away daily. He has become this fully flushed out character who we can understand his motivations and separate them, for the first time, from his desire to help the Winchesters. Of course, he still made many of the choices he made because of them, for them, but he also did it because he believed it was the one thing that could save them, save their mission, their goal. Stop the Apocalypse, save the world. He also understands sarcasm now, and at least gets some references (ie Superman going darkside) to his determent sadly.

Does that make sense? Anyway, I think though I LOVE every version of Castiel we have seen so far, this seasons version, this character is just a little bit more than any of the others. Perhaps it is because we could finally see things from his POV instead of him through Dean's or Sam's or even Bobby's. We walked a mile in his moccasins and I think I understand his character even more now than I thought I did before.

for me, castiel is probably the most complexe character of the show..this kind of hybrid angel/human made of him someone out of all you know in spn...the fans love him because of that, the castiel that we have now is so far away of this castiel of the 4th season but also the same...he wants to believe in His father, he wants to help the brothers because he loves them, he wants to save the world even if for that, he needs to do wrong choice like an angel.. but i think he'll doing the right choice in the end like a human...this character must to be in the 7th season because he has so much to showing us and giving to us...this complexe character is so interesting and fascinating and also so cute and "human", he has so much to learn about human...can you imagine spn without him after 3 years? me, i can't because for me, he's a part of spn family till the end of the show...

of course me too all of them...castiel was great in all..so different...for me, the character who was the most evolved...the most complexe of all...that's the reason to keep him on the show, that's the reason for what we love him

i love cas in all the seasons he is my fav. but i have a feeling he isnt going to b in season 7 which is going to break my heart but i just read an article that said that misha is going to be producing and staring in a new show...i really hope he stays with supernatural tho. i need cas. he apart of the show just as much as the boys r! ♥

hope that he can do the 2..that will be great...not a regular on spn but some episodes because spn without him is not really spn anymore, he's a part of the family

hell bloody funnier then season 4 and not keeping things from the boys like in season 6
