-FLASHBACK-

Shinespirit was poised, ready to attack her prey. It was early newleaf and the snow was beginning to melt. Although it was dangerous because of the floods, it was also the best time to hunt. So she was okay with the danger as along as her Clan got fed. She jumped and missed the vole by a couple of inches. Groaning she sat up.

"Your back paws slid."

She jumped at the surprising voice and turned around. Creekripple was a rock watching her some distance away. He jumped easily down till he was standing a few pawsteps from her. "It's not easy, hunting in the wet season, now is it?"

Shinespirit's ears came down in embarrassment. "What do you want?"

"I want to talk," he said, circling her. "I've noticed you've been staring at me a lot lately."

She groaned inwardly. What a tom to think to of her that way. "No, really I haven't." She started to walk away but he jumped in her way.

"Don't lie. I've seen you."

She shook her head and glared at him. "Remove yourself from my path of travel," she growled.

He smiled wickedly. "Oh you're so brave. Let me make it up to you...." he lept at her and pinned her.
