Well, I don't know about the books. I don't read them.

But I really don't think they'll be endgame in the show. :(

Cause my ships never end up together. So if I'm in your fandom liking the same ships that you do, I'm sorry haha.

I thought there was a good chance of them being endgame in the books but I keep reading speculation where people think she'll end up with Sam. (Probably cause Sookie wants a normal life with kids and stuff idk)I know it's just other people's spec but with my shipping history.. I have to prepare.

The show seems unlikely cause Alan Ball has a hard on for Bill.

Think and knowing are two different things.

So personally, I would like for them to be end game in both mediums. And I can think of a number of way it can be possible.

wishful-thinker did mention book speculation, and they have pointed that Sookie will not end up with either Bill or Eric. So that's a possibility.

And with the show, anything can happen really. A lot of times, the numbers in viewership and profit affects a show's story (sad to say).

One can hope.. Right?!
