A Girl Named Lacey Chapter Four
Sorry I haven't been writing. It has been the craziest week and now I think I'm getting sick! :(
It was moving day, we had several cars that needed to be drove to Scottsville. I packed up Lacey's car that I would be driving to the new house. Lacey would be driving her motorcycle. Lacey had two cars. A motorcycle because when she was 13 and in middle school she needed to be able to drive herself. I was very surprised that Esme let her drive at the age 13. A lot of parents weren't very happy that Esme and Carisle were letting a 13 ano old girl drive, much less por herself. At the age of 16, Lacey got an actual car. Which she greatly enjoyed when it would rain or when it got really cold.
We were moving to Scottsville because it was cloudy there, it rained some, and the sun hardly ever came out. The house we were moving to, looked the same as we are in now. A huge house with glass wall, mostly white with the eception of Lacey's room.
It's time to leave. Lacey said as she popped her head in her room.
Coming. I said.
I grabbed one of the boxes and took it to her car. We would leave her motorcycle at the new house and than we would drive back the seguinte dia or possibly that night. We couldn't get that much to fit in her tronco, porta-malas but we got what we could in there.
Lacey let her hair down out of the ponytail that it was in. She put her jaqueta on and helmit.
Remember you are suppose to go the speed limit. I said.
What did you say? I can't hear through this helmit. She joked
Go the speed or I'll tell Esme. I threaten.
We didn't want Lacey having a wreck on her motorcycle going 145 or more.
Than you have to go the speed limit. She said.
I'm a vampire, I don't have to. I said.
Everyone was waiting in the other cars.
Let's go. Lacey said.
I got in her car and it purred to life. I heard Lacey cranked the motorcycle up and it was sounding good. We would be taking 4 cars and a motorcycle load up to the new house. It would be a three or four hora drive without stops, but since we are taking a human, she will stop every hora or more.
As we drove down the rode Lacey riding close to my car. I called Esme to see what I could do about it. She said there was nothing. However, I could always check my breaks so she wouldn't ride my butt. But it might cause her to crash which was something I, we didn't want to happen.
My phone started ringing and it was Lacey.
Edward would you please go faster. The rest of the family will be waiting for months if we dot get there. She said.
Months, really Lace? I asked.
Yep, so speed it up grandpa! Lacey said.
No can do. I want you to be safe. I said.
"I'll be fine"
I don't want to take chances! I said.
Edward, I'm not a baby! She groaned.
You will always be my baby. I said.
"What"
Nothing! I am going to go before you wreck. I said.
Edward-
I hung up before she could say anything. I can't believe I let that slip. If I let anything else slip, she would know. She still has a guard up when all of us is around her. I really hate that, it makes me sad. If only she didn't care and sees that she loved me mais than a brother. But till than, I would he her brother, best friends, or a shoulder to cry on for who knows what.
