Not Your Typical Country Girl Chapter Chapter Thirty One
I had gotten all cleaned up for dinner. I had put on some of Finn's clothes, I think. I wore some shorts and one of my brothers' shirts. I didn't know who it belonged to. It said Navy. I had no idea why they owned this but it was comfy. But everyone else cheirado, cheirava, smelt like they had been working outside. I don't know why I needed to get clean up for lunch.
"How's the wrist," Clay asked as we sat down.
"Sore," I stated.
"Boys, I will need y'all to clean up lunch. Harmony has a doctors appointment this afternoon," Abigail said.
The boys and me groaned at the same time.
I didn't want to go to the doctor as much as they wanted to clean the up dinner.
I played on my phone as Abigail and I went down the rode. I could do anything on this phone but I found it boring. Compared to looking out the window and seeing things, I didn't need a phone. I loved everything about outside. But nothing could beat the feeling of drawing. It is my favorito thing to do.
The ride to and from the doctor took way to long! I got a good denunciar back. Well, I thought it was good but the doctor was mad that I was riding bulls when I was hurt. Although, he seemed impressed that I would ride a bull.
As soon as I got home, I went to straight to the celeiro and helped with chores. I was given the go ahead to walk without crutches unless it started hurting me really bad. Which I wouldn't let anyone know cause those things were a pain in the butt. My ribs were completely healed except for so,e bruising but that should heal quickly. I was excited to start working again. I didn't like sitting around the house or walking slowly when hanging out with Clay, Tucker, and Isaiah.
Sam was still hanging around the house. I would have thought she would have gone início hours ago. We had church tonight so I figured she would have to cleaned up for that.
I noticed that a truck had pulled into the driveway. I hadn't seen this truck before. It was an older model than any of the guys I have seen. I went back inside the celeiro and finished the rest of the chores.
I walked inside the house there was an older couple here. I wondered who they were.
"Oh good you are done with your chore," Bryce said as I stood in the doorway.
"Yep I am done," I said.
"These are my parents, but the boys called them Pappi and Mammi'," Bryce said.
"Nice to meet you too," I said.
"Oh it's so good to see you," Mammi said.
It was so odd calling someone Pappi or Mammi. How do these people come up with these names?
"Go get ready for church Harmony. ceia will be done soon," Abigail said.
"Yes em'," I said.
After getting cleaned up for church. I made my way back down to the kitchen. I hope the grandparent were gone but they were still here.
"They're eating ceia with us," Finn informed me.
"Oh," I said as it was the only the only I could think of.
"Abigail dear, you need to buy Harmony some mais church clothes. I always see her wearing the same dress," Mammi whispered.
"I have tried but there aren't many clothes in black around here," Abigail whispered back.
I ignored their not so whispered conversation and sat on the sofá por Clay.
"Harmony go help with supper," Bryce demanded.
I got up with a big sigh. I just wanted to sit and rest. That won't happen till church.
I finally sat down once the comida was on the table.
Once jantar was cleaned up we all headed to church. I had grabbed my drawing book before we left for church.
I plopped down in the pew por Clay. We sat on the other side of the pew from the family. Someone had dia down por me, so I moved closer to Clay.
"I think your wrist is beginning to match your dress," Isaiah said as I looked up.
I didn't realize he had come to church. I hadn't really seen him here before. Or not that I could recall.
"Yeah it shouldn't. I've been icing it like crazy," I said.
"Wow, I bet it hurts," he said.
"Not too much," I shrugged.
After church we went home. I quickly put on my pajamas and went to sit outside. I had a glass of sweet chá and my drawing book with me.
"Why are you sitting out here por yourself," Clay asked as he appeared on the back porch.
"I wanted to enjoy the cool breeze and draw," I said.
"Okay. Can I sit out here with you," he asked.
"Sure," I said as I shrugged my shoulders.
"What do you like to draw," he asked after a few minutos of us being silent.
"Anything. I amor being able to draw anything. This notebook is filled with drawings of the same thing," I said, "I didn't know what else to draw when I lived on the orphanage. There weren't many things to draw there."
"Oh cool. Tucker was telling me about one of your drawings. The one of the trucks and bonfire," Clay said, "if it's okay, can I see it?"
"Umm, sure," I said quietly.
I dug through the pages in my notebook and finally found it.
"Here you go," I said.
Clay stared at it and didn't say anything.
"Well," I said unsure.
"Wow! This is amazing," he said, "you are an amazing artist!"
"Thanks," I said smiling.
"We better get inside. It's fixin' to start pouring rain," he said.
"How do can tell," I asked curiously.
"I can smell the rain and I can here it coming," he said, "plus, I can hear thunder!"
"Oh," I said laughing, "it's not loud enough for me to hear it."
"Well, it's comin' quick," Clay said as we both got up.
Right as we got to the back door I saw lightening and jumped. I wasn't expecting it to get here so quick.
I told everyone who was still up goodnight and headed for my bedroom. It should be nice sleeping to a thunder storm.
