Attention: ole-plays are made to oblige to the other person you're composição literária with since it is a partnership deal, not to be a well-constructed story or a spot-on characterization of the characters.

In other words, it's best to not take this seriously, especially not like my other serious self-works. And if people like this, then they like it. If you don't, then this isn't the page to comment so - since improvement or change is not wanted, therefore your comment will be ineffective. This is just here because it's here, and I am not the only owner of this, so if she feels she needs to, she will also have her say - and may not go as 'easy' as I will.
Once again, this fanfiction is a Roleplay. Constructive criticism is unadvised. The "x" button is to your left.

"...Now Shadow, don't~ you have somewhere else to be other than hovering over me like a black-hawk 'copter?" Amy Rose smirked between the pencil in her teeth.

Her fingers punched the keyboard at the speed of light as she 're-decorated' her elite-ranked associate's forty paged denunciar with adjectives he had specifically told her not to.

"I'll also take this chance to 'beg you to chuveiro your mercy upon me' for the new 'trimmings' I've made. It makes the mission-review look mais appealing and less monotone. The General is always impressed por my secret tweaks, isn't he?" Amy huffed her scraggly bangs out of her eyes, though the thick braid enrolados down to her thighs wasn't helping the perspiration on the back of her neck.

"These reports need to be finished por tomorrow, Ms. Rose; you know that. Besides, I have other places to go and projects to infiltrate," Shadow the Hedgehog didn't look up from the papers of Amy's last revisions.

"So then may~be..." She glanced at the black hedgehog, a smile dimpling her cheeks as she talked through the pencil before closing her eyes like a cocky show-off, "You're here to keep me company? Oh the chivalry is so chivalrous of you, I'm tempted to call you Sir Lancelot!"

"I'm just making sure you are doing your job correctly," He huffed as he noticed a small error in her report.

Amy's soft-spoken tauntings were not aleatório or new. They had been out-dated for years on end, or to get technical, since she was an itty bitty thing, while he had been tall, grumpy, and ageless back then.

They met at first-smile and first-glare. He was her behind-the-scenes protector when the situation was dire, and her only friend, whereas people assumed he was imaginary. She was his only exception. And they, themselves, stopped calling each other 'acquaintances' in between the years she became not so itty-bitty anymore, but nevertheless a ball of rosa, -de-rosa fogo who looked up to his 'way of the warrior' mentality. After all, she was now his 'personal representative', who knew every digit of his social security number. The weekly walks in the park or the 'staying over until dawn'-conversations proved that they were beyond associates, but friends who enjoyed one another's time to the fullest. They were also...console-mates, even though Shadow usually said little, while Amy said too much.

He became her diary, and she...well, became his book.

'She just doesn't know how much I want to be here...' Shadow smirked at his thought; taking a quick glance at her.

Shadow's thoughts were not aleatório or new either, and no one could hide them better than Shadow himself.

Whether this girl knew it or not, she could distract him from saving his own life with just her glance, and she was becoming mais than just his book. Sometimes though, he wanted to set this rosa, -de-rosa book down and for her to stop composição literária on him with all her feelings about her crises in life. Sometimes he didn't want to be her diary, or her ear. He wanted...well, didn't mind to be a best friend or just...looked at as something mais than this stone-stiff rant box to vent to.

He had crises too, after all. Yet all women really seem to expect is for men to listen and respond like they've been listening, but never talk about their side of the story unless given permission. So sometimes, he did deny her on nights when she wanted him to chat with her on the phone until three in the morning while he was busy on mission-scapes.

"Alright Mr. Technical, I hear you clearer than crystal," Amy set the pencil down on her desk.

She broke his rules again - be professional with each other at work, and show no signs of anything mais were Shadow's personal rules. No one but a certain red Echidna knew of their weird companionship, anyway.

"So," Amy leaned back into the chair with her arms crossed as well as her legs, which were exposed through the black skirt. "You'll be polite when my sister arrives, yes? Not too rude and not too sophsicated?"

"...Sister? What sister?"

"Mm...?" Amy tilted her head cluelessly, tapping her head with the pencil in thought. "I thought I told you - my sister's coming into town to stay with me for a while. We were separated por our parents' divorce, which is why you don't see her often. And hopefully, she'll be able to apply for the job here, so then maybe I~..." Amy smiled up at him hopefully, trying to look as innocent as possible. "...Won't be alone with furnishing all your reports?"

Shadow cleared his throat and stood up straight.

"Well, we will have to see if she has the requirements. This place is chaotic as it is already; I don't want anymore of it when she arrives." He turned his back and started to make his way out to his office. 'Great, another Rose on the job. If she's anything like her sister, I'll have to fogo myself.'

To put it honest, he'd be a lying, babbling fool if he said Amy Rose's matured looks were plain and boring, but at the same time so what? He was the type of man who could admit a woman was what she was, but never with a hint of interest, because there was none. A woman was what she was, and just because a woman was attractive, didn't mean he'd be attracted. There needed to be more.

But Amy Rose, this rosa, -de-rosa girl with a personality that was bigger than her mouth and sloppy hairdos, had managed to arouse his intellect, which led to arousing his loins. Her air had wooed him, the sun that haloed her when she walked into the room is what brightened that room alongside her smile. Her purity, at the age of infancy, was what drew him to her magnetically. He was fascinated por her for everything that she was, and having been aroused solely por her personality and spirituality, her mental beauty is what made her physical beauty stand out to him. Because of her ability to manipulate his heartbeat with her everlasting positivity that he had survived on and got through the day, and life with ever since their meeting, she had earned the privilege of him considering her...indescribable, when the word 'beautiful' wasn't enough. Her personality is what endowed her body.

...But a few perverted workers had commented that she was "a spell-check with a pretty face, busty rack and slap-able cakes like a curvaceous eight, who needed to wear less to invite a good confiscate."

...Hmph. Perverts.

"...Wha? Oh, wait! Hang on!" Amy jumped up from her chair.

She almost tripped head-first into her escrivaninha, mesa before catching herself in some embarrassment while constantly stroking hair back to redeem herself.

"U-Uhh...she'll be here in less than five minutos Shadow, so I was wondering if you could...stick around a little while until then?" - She tried to act unfazed por her clumsy curse - "I mean, she's coming in here, after all."

Shadow turned to face her, trying hard not to cackle almost evilly at her clumsiness.

"Amy..." He wanted to decline, but thought about it for a quick segundo as he looked into her cachorro, filhote de cachorro like eyes. "I suppose so, but only for a few minutes. I have errands to run."

She smiled almost bashfully with a strand falling in front of her eyes, "Well, then maybe to pass the time we could--"

"Shadow</b>," Knuckles broke into the conversation as he marched up from the aisle with his long dreadlocks swaying behind him, growling with his hand tugging on the tie he had to wear. "Can we seriously have a new dress-code? If I have to struggle with this tie every morning one mais time, I'm going to get whiplash, and will be suing YOU if you don't pay for my insurance bill in the end!"

Shadow only chuckled under his breath, "If I have to wear this tie, then so do you. Besides, I didn't make the rules. Talk to the General. I'm just the messenger."

He straightened his own black tie as it felt like it was choking him just por looking at Knuckles.

"Yeah?" 'Che-yeah, mais like the Boss's mouthpiece PET who orders everyone around!' Knuckles yanked on his tie, which was undone and sloppy. "Then send a 'message' to that boss and tell 'em if we're his mission-soldiers, we shouldn't have to wear some stupid human tie when we walk into the building to do our reports!"

Amy just laughed at Knuckles outbursts. She stacked her paperwork and presented them to Shadow, who took them with a questioning frown, "I'm going to pick up Scourge straight from work today, so I'll be leaving early. He's...being released today."

Knuckles huffed through his nose. "I thought you two were over when he got caught three years ago."

Shadow growled under his breath and was about to comment about Scourge himself when the office door bursted open.

"AMY!" squealed a high voice.

"Woah!" Knuckles nursed his 'ear' at the high-pitched and, a bit 'familiar' voice since it sounded so much like a younger Amy herself, before blinking and looking up with a dumb look.

"Reina!" Amy chuckled, setting down her things and running over.

"GAH!" Knuckles spun around in a marry-go-round as Amy brushed past him at the speed of sonic wind.

"Oh Amy, my dear sister! I'm so thrilled to see you again!" Reina and Amy met and squeezed the living daylights out of eachother.

Reina would be Amy's mirror image, if it wasn't for her color and her hair. Instead of being a rosy rosa, -de-rosa like her sibling, she was a turquoise blue and her hair was much shorter.

"It's been so long since I've seen you!" Reina let go of her sister and stepped back to look her up and down.

Shadow stood across from them to see the two having their reunion, comparing the two almost mirrored hedgehogs with his staring.

"Huh..." Knuckles peeped his head in seguinte to Shadow, blinking widely. "I didn't know Amy had SIBLINGS, let alone LOOK-ALIKE siblings."

A sweatdropped fell from Reina's forhead. "Amy it seems like the guys here already are drooling over you."

Her eyes laid on the two that were staring at them.

"No, no! This isn't--..." She looked over at Shadow and Knuckles, before cracking a confused but amused smile. "I think it's a little mais mutual than that, Ree. Come on, these are my naggy bosses." She tugged her younger sister over, standing before them and ignoring Shadow's grunt at the way she introduced the circle. "Reina, this is Shadow~, and this is Knuckles. They're both two of headquarters most top-ranked mission soldiers."

...Knuckles finally popped out of his thoughts and grinned stupidly.

"Whoops, sorry!" He reached out his hand to Reina for a handshake. "I was daydreamin' bout you two making out in a jacuzzi!" He laughed loudly...before suddenly realizing his joke was not only funny but perverted, and gulped. "Yeeeah..ANYWAY, my name's Knuckles!"

Shadow also snapped out of his own daydream, ironically thinking the same thing.

"Like she said, I'm Shadow," He nodded his name and smirked a little.

Reina looked at them both again with a sweatdrop and tried to ignore the comment Knuckles made and shook his hand.

"I'm Reina, Amy's younger sister." She pulled back and placed her hands behind her back looking at them both suspiciously.

Already knowing Reina, Amy smiled with the tilt of her head.

"Don't worry, they're really great. And Shadow - he puts up this tough guy, no-nonsense act, but he's really a huuugeee~ softy." Amy pinched his arm playfully with a giggle.

She soon flinched back from his side when she realized they were at work, and not out together as friends.

"Oh, I'm sorry..." Amy muttered, linking her fingers together in front of her.

Shadow growled a little and shook it off.

"Whatever you say, sis." Reina shrugged and then gave a warm smile, "Nice to meet you guys."

Knuckles rocked back on his heels some, grinning strangely wide. "Nice to meet you too! So what exactly brings you out here, Re'....?" ...He leaned in some to murmur his self-consciousness, "I...I can call you Re', right?"

"Um, sure if you're so lazy to say the whole thing," she giggled. "Well, our parents don't need me hanging around the house and trying to help them out, so I had nowhere else to go other than to bother big sister over here."

"Hey, you..." Amy frowned up at Shadow some, standing at his side to allow Knuckles and Reina to 'converse'. "You don't have to growl at me, you know. Do we always have to restrict the 'touching' and 'one-sided hugging' policy to only when we're off work together?" She almost pouted. "It makes everyone think...we're 'sneaking around' or something."

Shadow rolled his eyes. "Not this again, Amy," He placed his hands in his pockets.

"Oh put a meia in it, Shadow," She groaned softly, hugging a pile of folders into her chest. "I'm asking for a straight answer this time. Why can't we act like companions around the office too? I mean, it's..." she shrugged a shoulder, saying a bit quietly, "...nice when you're...yourself with me." She peeked up at him from under her bangs, giving him a half-smile. "Nothing to hide and everything to tell...and you look at me different than when we're in the office." She then squinted, trying to define his eyes. "...You look at me strange when we're alone."

Knuckles squinted at the rosa, -de-rosa and black hedgehogs, whispering close to Reina, "...I heard one of them say something about touching...and it's making me SUSPICIOUS."

Reina's eyes squinted and landed on the two. "You read my mind."

She grabbed Knuckles por the arm and slowly crept closer to them with their backs turned slightly but ears up making sure she hears everything.

Shadow slowly looked toward Amy. "This can be continued later, can't it? I don't want everyone knowing - ...Can I help you two?"

....Knuckles sweat-dropped. "What? No! We're--...go back to your conversation, we're minding our OWN!"

"Y-yeah, what he said..." Reina scratched her head out of embarrassment.

"Sure...Now, Ms. Reina, you can come in tomorrow around eight with your sister to prove that you'll be a useful addition. You have the open position working along Ms. Amy. It was nice to meet you, now if you would excuse me, I have to get going," Shadow excused himself out of the room and back to his work-space to retire for the day.

...Amy blinked, before biting her lip to keep in her anger, crossing her arms, "Oooh that HEDGEHOG. What did he mean, 'doesn't want everyone KNOWING'?"

Reina blinked with confusion and stared at her sister. She was stumped as she missed most of their conversation.

Knuckles slipped an arm around Reina, forgetting the 'first-impressions' barrier and simply being over-friendly as if he were hanging out with a 'pal', "Hehe, here's the big scoop, Re'...your sister and her 'boss'? They've got a...bit of a RELATIONSHIP going."

Amy spun around, her long braid whipping around behind her, "Friendship, friendship, FRIENDSHIP."

Reina's eyes were wide open as her hair was ruffled por her sister's long braid. Her eye twitched out of fustration and she turned slightly green.

"Can...I not get slapped in the face with A GIANT rosa, -de-rosa BRAID FOR ONCE!?" she fixed her hair and then noticed Knuckles' arm and blushed. "And can I get some o espaço please?"

Knuckles blinked, clueless amongst himself as usual, before sucking in a breath, "Oh! Sorry there," He snatched his arm off her and threw his arms down like a scolded child.

Reina glanced over at Knuckles and blushed somewhat. She kinda liked the fact he had his arm around her, it was just Reina wasn't that type of girl. She felt overprotective of herself for just meeting someone in five minutes.

"But hey, brightside is I got the job right? We should go out and celebrate! Sushi anyone?" Reina smiled her million dollar smile.

"Sushi...?" Knuckles stroked his chin before snapping his fingers, and then he 'adjusted' his tie to say 'nonchalantly', "Well, I wouldn't mind tagging along--"

"No!" Amy suddenly rushed in on both of them, narrowing her eyes. "Not until at least 6 o'clock, okay? Because right now we...I-I have to go pick up..." Amy curled a strand of messy hair around her finger, knowing she hadn't told her sister. "...My boyfriend."

Knuckles growled under his breath.

"What...." Reina's tone lowered. "Boyfriend?"

Knuckles raised his hand out to Reina, shaking her hand again to excuse himself before the 'talk' comes up between the two since he knows Amy's 'boyfriend'.

"Reina, it was real nice meeting you. If this six o'clock thing goes, then I hope to see you and Amy then, okay? Matter of fact..." Knuckles smirked at Amy. "I'll even go ask SHADOW right now if he can come."

Amy jumped some, trying to contain the excitement bubbling in her stomach. "That would be...!" She shook the happiness away and tried to say carelessly, "Yeah, sure...I mean, if he wants to that would be..." she smiled nonetheless. "...that would be great."

"Boyfriend..." Reina was still stuck on Amy not mentioning about her so called boyfriend and ignored Knuckles.

A little confused at the silence from Reina, Knuckles just frowned out his confusion, "Anyway, see you two soon," - and scooted off.

...Amy looked up at Reina, "S-So~...sushi at six?" she squeaked, seeing the thoughtful look in Reina's eye.

"AMY ROSE WHO IS THIS GUY!?" Reina yelled which almost sounded like shrieking.

"I-I..." Amy sank back some against her desk, before blinking, and then suddenly, "Hey! Wait a minute! This is backwards! I'm older! I should have a boyfriend!"

"Yeah? Well if anything, I act mais mature than you! segundo of all, we made a deal we tell each other everything! Especially since...my last relationship..." Reina started to sniff as she tried not to have water come out of her eyes. "Besides, I'm appalled that you wouldn't tell me about this guy, Mi-mi..."

"Ree, I know..." Amy sat her down into a chair across from her, trying to smile. "But...it was unexpected. I mean, I didn't know he was getting out of prison today. It's been so many years."

"Say what now?" Reina's eyes widened.

...Amy's lip twitched.

"Hey, Shadow..." Knuckles walked into the hedgehog's office with a stack of Amy's finished reports. "Give this to the General before six, will you?"

Shadow had his head buried in his palms. "Yeah...sure," he mumbled.

"...What in the heck is wrong with you?" Knuckles slooowly raised an eyebrow.

Shadow quickly straightened up and fixed his tie. "Nothing. Just work." He straightened his voice. "Anyway, did the Rose sisters leave yet?"

"Nooo~," Knuckles shook his head even slower, still skeptical of Shadow. "...Shadow, what's really going on? Does this have to do with Amy?"

"No, of course not. Why would it? She's fine--Ahem, I mean we're fine..." He growled. "Shit." 'What the hell's going on with me? I don't even TALK like that!'

....Knuckles gave him a flat stare. "Are you...." he squinted. "what do these teenagers call it these days--oh, that's right...'Sprung'?"

"Me? Never! If anything, women are the last thing on my thoughts. It's just all this stress over work; the General expects a lot out of us this week."

He didn't buy it one second, and instead, started to bust out laughing, "You're a DOOOG! You're a DOOOG, Shadow! I KNEW it! Ohh you're a DOG!"

"Would you be QUIET?!" Shadow clasped his hand over Knuckles' mouth. "No word to Amy, understand? She has a lot on her plate as of now - her sister is in town and she doesn't need me in the picture. Something such as that...would complicate it. I'm content with the status we are in our relationship, and wish not to fracture or alter it. Not now, of all times."

Knuckles still fell on the floor mostly due to his laughter and held his stomach. - ...And thank God the office door was closed.

Shadow was getting steamed and his face was boiling red. "Knuckles, don't you have somewhere to be?" he growled, trying to stay calm.

Knuckles crawled off his knees. "Hokay, hokay, hokay..." he slapped his knee, puffing out a breath to calm down. "ALRIGHT, so...I also came over here...to tell you that Amy's inviting you somewhere with her, her sister, and ME tonight."

"Thanks, but no thanks," Shadow replied in a monotone voice. "I have things to catch up on. Besides, isn't that Scotch going to be there?"

"..." Knuckles raised a brow. "Scourge, you mean? Is that why you don't wanna come?"

"No; that sadistic punk doesn't scare me, I'm just trying to make it easier on Amy, that's all."

"What do you mean easier on Amy, Shadow?" Knuckles spoke mais seriously now, fiddling with some of Shadow's office decorations. "...You're the closet person to Amy, so naturally, she'd want you there, and might even panic if you're not. I think...it would be easier on her if you were there. She talks to you about stuff when she's lonely, right? So obviously, you being there makes her feel better about herself."

"Yeah? Well what about how I feel? It hurts enough that I lo--..." He caught himself and messed with his collar. "...just...I'll be there after I drop this off to the General, alright? Where are we meeting?"

Knuckles nodded, not catching the misstep in Shadow's speech since he presumed that it was nothing mais than a sexual attraction. After all, Shadow had never mentioned to anyone on the Agency's field just how deep the roots were tied between he and Amy. "The sushi place down the corner. And don't worry, I'll convince her not to bring that green bastard she should've got rid of a long time ago. Sides, he's just getting out of jail today...so most likely, he's going to hit the midnight streets if Amy doesn't 'put out'."

Shadow clentched his fists out of anger but then shook it off. "Whatever, I'll be there." He waved Knuckles off.

"Got it," Knuckles laughed some, "And...make sure you keep your eyes on AMY, alright?" --He then left the room.

Shadow looked up. "Wonder what he meant por that..."
