It turned out Rachels mom was a teen that had Rachel in the old house. But she thought Rachel was dead so she layed her under a jacket. Some people that lived in the abandoned house found her and took care of her until Cuddy came and took her up for foster care and then adoption because the teen mother died, the father was too young, and the grandparents didnt want her.
