Diana's POV
Shane finished the filming and put his camera down. He looked around, looking bored.
"So that is your best friend?" I asked, pointing to the camera. He giggled.
"Yeah. It listens to what I say." He said jokingly. We both giggled. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it out to see who it was. It was Prince. I sighed and read the text.
'I am sorry.' The text read. I looked at the screen and grimaced.
"You okay?" Shane asked, as he fiddled around with a napkin.
"Uh... yeah." I mumbled. Shane snorted and walked away. I took a deep breath and deleted the text.
*Three hours later*
James called an hora atrás and was going to take me to the mall. I was almost ready to go. He should be here to pick me up any second.
The doorbell rang from downstairs. I ran downstairs and opened the door. James stood there.
"Hey!" I said giving him a hug.
"Hey Diana! You ready to go?" James asked. I nodded and followed him to the car.
*At the mall*
James and I headed to the comida court the grab ice cream. It was a really hot dia and we needed it.
"What is your favorito flavor besides vanilla?" James asked.
"Strawrberry." I answered.
"Mine too." He added shyly. I giggled. He took my hand and I blushed.
Right then, I saw Prince out of the corner of my eye. My coração stopped. He was with Maddy. Anger filled me but I kept my cool infront of James.
Me and James payed for the ice cream and we sat down. We sat down at a mesa, tabela not far from Prince and Maddy's. I wanted to go over there and soco Maddy. Prince didn't deserve her. He even told me. But then again, maybe I am wrong about it.
I looked at James.
"I can't do this." I said under my breath. James gaped at me.
"What?" He asked. I looked at him and grabbed my purse.
"We have to go." I mumbled as I got up to go. James got up too. He wasn't to happy.
"What? Why?" James grabbed my arm and stopped me. I noticed Prince was looking over at me. Maddy was seguinte to him leitura a magazine. My face turned bright red.
"How about we go back to your place?" I said, turing to James. He looked confused.
"Okay." He agreed and took me back to his place.
*On the way James' house*
James was kind of silent the whole time. My phone buzzed. I took it out of my bolsa and read the text which was from Prince.
'R u okay?' It read. I rolled my eyes and texted back.
'No. Just go hav fun with Maddy, the one u luv.' I texted back.
At a red light, James turned to me.
"What happened before?" He asked.
Regret filled me. I hesitated and opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out.
"Is it about us? Do you not want to... date?" He hesitated on the word date.
"Of course I do! It is just that I just have a little too much on my mind." I said. James sighed.
"Okay." He said, uncertain.
*Maslow House*
"It is beautiful!" I exclaimed as I walked in. James smiled.
"Yep. Designed it myself." He informed me. I nodded approvingly.
James led me to the couch. I sat down close to him. As I expected, he leaned in and kissed me. When I closed my eyes, I saw Prince. My coração kept skipping beats. This wasn't right. James and I aren't meant for each other.
I pulled away from James. I took a deep sigh.
"I can't go out with you." I said flatly. James sighed and stood up.
"Why not?" He asked.
"It just isn't meant to be." I answered. James eyes flickered with anger.
"Alright. Well, I am guessing you want to go início then." James said.
