Summer vacation had ended, and it was time for Jane and Paula to start school again. Since January, the two of them had become best friends. They enjoyed spending time together. They were also willing to help each other. This time, Paula would soon help Jane with a big challenge. As the two girls made it to their school, they went to the corner to wait for the sino to ring. Like most teenage girls, they were beginning to notice boys. The two friends watched some boys a few feet away. One of them noticed Jane. Paula said, "What do you know? One of them likes you, Jane." Jane said, "I think you're right, Paula." Paula looked at her watch and said, "There's fifteen minutos until the sino rings. You have time to get acquainted with him." Jane walked up to the boy and said, "Hi." He smiled and said, "Hi. My name's Kyle. What's yours?" She said, "Jane." He said, "It's nice to meet you, Jane." She said, "It's nice to meet you, too, Kyle." The two talked before the sino rang. Jane learned that she and Kyle had their first class together. Later, when it was lunch time, Jane told Paula, "I think Kyle and I have hit it off." Paula said, "I'm so happy for you, Jane!" Jane said, "Of course, I want to take some time to get to know him. I'm confident that we'll start dating soon." Things seemed to be looking up for Jane. However, she had no idea that she was about to get her coração broken.

Lola and Her Mates
One day, I decided to invite the girls I helped with homework to a party. I also invited Erin, Paul, and Carl. They were always so nice to me, so I didn't see any reason not to invite them. As I was getting ready for the party, I heard the doorbell ring. I went to answer the door. Erin, Paul, and Carl were standing there. I said, "Hi. You're a little early, but come on in." We waited for my other guests to show up, but they never did. I was very sad that they hurt me like that. I said, "I knew they only liked me because I help them with homework." Erin said, "People who truly...

Making New Friends
When I was in high school, I moved to Pine Grove. When I arrived, the popular girls eyed me like a pack of hungry lobos seeing a stray sheep. Amazingly enough, they had no intention to hurt me physically. They asked me to help them with their homework. Surprisingly, they actually did their part. I guess they were afraid I wouldn't help them if they didn't. One day, during my junior year, I saw a girl trip and fall in the hallway. I said, "I'm going to make sure she's okay." The ring leader of the popular girls said, "All right. Go make sure your fellow dork is okay. You're...

The Bullying
Even though I was the nurturer, not everyone liked me very much. I got bullied quite a bit. One day, some bullies roubou my glasses and locked me in the janitor's closet. I have been terrified of the dark for a long time, especially since I can't see well without my glasses. Eventually, the janitor let me out, and I managed to get my glasses back. There was once when I saw a classmate fall. I asked, "Are you okay?" She said, "Get away from me, you dork!" I felt hurt. I said, "I'm sorry for caring." I confided in my grandmother during my saddest times. One day, I came to her covered...

Introduction
It was June 1, 2018, Lola's twenty-first birthday. Her friends were celebrating with her. As they were enjoying some cake, John asked, "What was your life like before you met your band mates, Lola?" She said, "It was okay, I guess." Peter asked, "Was it as tragic as Paul's?" She said, "Not really. It had its good and bad points. Are you sure you want me to talk about it?" Allen said, "Yes." Erin said, "You haven't really told us much about your childhood." Lola was apprehensive. Paul said, "It's all right. You can tell us." Carl said, "That's right. We're your friends." Lola smiled...

It was summer. Jane and Paula were looking progressivo, para a frente to enjoying some time off from school. Neither one of them liked school much, mainly because of the bullying, but they did enjoy each other's company. Jane's Siberian Husky puppy, Shiloh, was growing up fast. Jane said, "Puppies grow up so fast." Paula said, "I know. When we first met, Shiloh was a tiny puppy." Jane said, "Yeah, and she's now getting close to the full size of a typical Siberian Husky." Jane and Paula reminisced about the months since they had met. They had grown very close. They made a pact that they would remain friends for life, no matter what.

I am so excited! I have a new dog! His name is Roscoe. He is a Gerberian Shepsky. He is almost six months old, neutered, housebroken, and a very sweet boy. His birthday is April 28. There's no sense in changing his name, because he already knows his name. He gets along super well with Roxy and River.

I will explain why we got Roscoe. Earlier this week, Roxy got hurt. She has a bad habit of darting out the door when it's opened, especially if she sees a squirrel. We are trying to break her of that habit. Thankfully, she responds if we call her back. Anyway, Roxy tried to come back when my aunt...

One day, Jane and Paula went hiking after school. Jane brought her dog, Shiloh, along. At one point, Paula tripped and fell. As she went down, a horrible cracking sound was heard. Jane thought, Oh, no! That didn't sound good! She knelt down beside of her friend and asked, "Are you okay, Paula?" Paula said, "I think so." She tried to get up, but she was unable to. Jane said, "Let me help you." Jane helped Paula up. Paula was unable to walk. Jane said, "You're hurt." Paula said, "I think something happened to my ankle. I can't put pressure on it." Jane said, "You probably sprained it. I'll go...

One day, Jane and Paula once again proved how strong their friendship was. They took a trip to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. They played in the lake together. At one point, Jane went too far. She didn't know how to swim. She cried out, "Help! I can't swim!" Paula said, "Hold on, Jane! I'm coming!" Paula wasn't the best swimmer in the world, but her determination to help her best friend was very strong. Jane went under. It was dark, and she was sure it was the end. Just then, she felt a hand grab her and pull her to the surface. After she coughed up some water, she looked to see who saved...

The seguinte morning, Jane and Paula walked to school together. Paula asked, "What do you think of the band, The Devil Wants Peace?" Jane said, "I think they're amazing." Paula said, "I really like them, too. Did you know that they recently collaborated with a band called New Religion?" Jane said, "Yes, I knew that. New Religion is among my favorito bands." Paula said, "I'll let you in on a secret. I was named in honor of Paul." Jane said, "You were not!" Paula laughed and said, "You're right. I wasn't named for anyone in particular. My parents just found the name in a baby book." Jane said, "I...

Jane looked around and saw a girl about her age standing on topo, início of the staircase. The girl said, "I saw you fall down those stairs. Are you hurt?" Jane replied, "No, I'm not hurt." The girl made her way to Jane and asked, "Are you sure you're okay?" Jane said, "Yeah. Thanks for not laughing at me." The girl replied, "I laugh with people, not at them." Jane said, "That's the way it should be." The girl said, "Yeah." Jane asked, "What's your name?" The girl replied, "Paula. What's yours?" Jane said, "My name is Jane." The seguinte day, Jane started at her new school. She was incredibly nervous. However, her schoolmates seemed nice and friendly. While there, she learned how to pronounce the names of different places in Michigan. She said to herself, "Michigan has places with unusual names, and half of the time, they're not even spelled the way they're pronounced." She told some of her classmates about her new Husky, Shiloh. Most of her classmates also had Huskies. Huskies must be very popular in Michigan. Jane thought to herself. One of her classmates asked, "Do people ever mistake your puppy, Shiloh, for a wolf?"...
