Did he know how to use a bow and Arqueiro before the movies?

I saw him in Troy and Lord Of the rings the other dia and he uses bow and arrows in both. Did he know how to use them before? Has he used them in other films?

yah....I dont believe he knew how to use a Bow and Arqueiro before Lord of the Rings:).....and from I know he was trained for it a ano before LOTR so when they began filming he would know what to do...lol....and I think the training really payed off in the long run:D....
