Tonight's season finale of One árvore colina was awesome.
The show has been on a rocky path this season, especially with the news of two of it's stars, Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott) and Hilarie burton (Peyton Sawyer) leaving the show after this year. What is "Le Freres Scott" (as it is called in French, The Scott Brothers) without Lucas Scott?
So rumors were flying and everyone was wondering how they would say goodbye. But Lucas and Peyton drove off, without 'moving' or 'leaving', just peacefully, quietly, and together with their new baby girl as it should have been, as director Mark Schwann had in mind for them since the pilot.
But what was amazing wasn't just the Sawyer/Scott clan shipping out, but the peace felt in árvore Hill. Nathan Scott finally sees his dream realized as point guard in the NBA, and his family is there to support him. It wasn't the end, it was a dream realized; it wasnt a closed chapter, it was a new door opening- perfectly for the show to continue seguinte season, giving Nathan a real potential at a good life, and the focus can shift to Haley who has had a bit of a character, well, boringness this past season. seguinte season can help.
The final, and best storyline of the finale was Brooke Davis. The girl we've all seen and grown to amor over the past few seasons. She got her happy ending, but similar to Nathan- it wasn't an ending, it was a new beginning. Her storyline with mother "bitchtoria" was wrapped up perfectly, with a sweet yet realistic moment. We've seen Victoria's transition and softening over this season and Brooke deserved to finally embrulho, envoltório up this plot. She followed her heart, after closing that door, to new cast member Julian. Julian is signed on as a series regular seguinte season, and I really felt his presence in the finale. He belonged with the couples as they were looking over Peyton, he belonged in the hospital room when Peyton woke up and most importantly, he belonged with a voiceover line during the show's CODA, and he got it. He belongs in Brooke's life and the show has a whole new character to open up, and it'll be interesting to see the way the show keeps an LA producer in árvore Hill.
I know, there's Mia and Chase, Mouth and Millie, Dan and Whitey, and the return of Karen, but those were nice, but not worth time. I kinda just wish Mouth and Millie would just leave though.
