música has infused my life from early childhood. It seems it was always playing in my house when I was growing up. And as I grew older, my musical tastes expanded but rarely did I leave anything behind. I still listen to música today that my parents played for me on vinyl when I was a toddler. I've always been open to música and I enjoy all genres. In fact, I don't pay that much attention to what genre an artist fits into...I don't really care. I don't care if something is popular or not either. Popularity doesn't make something good...it doesn't make it bad either.
There are artists that define certain periods of my life. I've compiled a list of them according to time period. These aren't the only ones I listened to but they're the ones that were played on repeat until the record/tape/cd was worn out.

The above were the ones that my parents listened to.

These were the ones that my teenage sister listened to.

And these were the albums that my mom bought just for me and my (other) sister. The soundtracks I memorized from the filmes and would sit in my window and sing at the topo, início of my lungs. It's a wonder the neighbors didn't complain.

All of my childhood música was listened to on vinyl, the radio or movies. It was basically a mix of 80s pop, oldies, musicais and classic country.

Most of this música was listened to on cassette tapes, a few on my family's first CDs.

During this time my musical horizons exploded; influenced less por my parents and mais por my older siblings, their friends and my friends. There was also about a ano when I listened almost exclusively to a radio station that played oldies from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I had an old transistor radio that I would carry everywhere with me, always tuned to KOOLFM. XD
My family took a lot of road trips during the summer and I remember listening to U2's Joshua árvore album while driving through the Joshua árvore National Park. I also remember being obsessed with the lost Boys and that soundtrack about the time that my brother lived in Santa Cruz [the CA town that the movie was filmed in].

Teenage:

These were all listened to on CDs

During my teen years I began building my música collection when I got my own CD player for my birthday one year. I also started my soundtrack collection with the Last of the Mohicans and Braveheart. I didn't even list all the soundtracks I was obsessed with during this time. This is the time period in which I started really developing my own personal tastes. I was less influenced por what my family and friends were listening to and mais interested in discovering música on my own.

During this time I lived in a much colder climate than I was used to. There were trees everywhere and you could hardly see the sky. I had to deal with snow [gag]. I really think it influenced what I listened to. I was so happy to mover back to the desert! The only really good memories I brought back with me were about the music. And the autumn leaves changing...that was beautiful. But most of the time I felt claustrophobic.

Adulthood:

A small sampling of the artists that have stayed with me through the years. I never get tired of them even though I've heard their songs a million times por now.

And these artists, although relatively new to me [I've only been listening to them for a few years] are definitely standing the test of time. I look progressivo, para a frente to each new effort from them.

And these are the artists new to me that I think could be with me for a long time to come!

In conclusion, I amor music! Thanks for tagging along down memory lane with me.

But here are the Lyrics:

If God had a name, what would it be
And would you call it to his face
If you were faced with him in all his glory
What would you ask if you had just one question...
