Ash T (actor/producer)
It’s the time of ano when everyone is craving a new scary movie. Enter the new horror comedy feature film, “Slayers,” which pits vampiros against social media influencers.

Actor Ash T lands beijoca, smack in the middle of the ensemble cast, which includes several faces fãs will recognize, as they’re lured to the remote mansion of an evil vampire.

The film recently premiered at Screamfest LA, along with another film that Ash T executive produced, the documentary “Living With Chucky.” That’s right, he’s back again, only this time as the subject of a tell-all recount about the “Child’s Play” franchise that made us all suspect our favorito childhood bonecas might be faca wielding killers.

To find out more, Ash T recently answered some perguntas for FanPop:

Who do you portray in “Slayers”?

ASH T: David Dean, the smooth-talking social media manager of the Stream Team--a group of superstar influencers.

When the role came to me in my audition box, the character descrição was "a Social Media Manager who is a little sleazy but is the best at his job in the business. No denying his slimy personality has brought many deals together through means we don’t need to know about."

What would you consider your characters ‘best’ quality? And his ‘worst’?

ASH T: He's able to talk his way out of any situation, but he often has to lie to get what he wants.

What was it like to work with Thomas Jane, Abigail Breslin and Malin Akerman?

ASH T: I’d have to rate it as the greatest experience of my life. In my anterior atuação classes, I’d rehearse scenes from groundbreaking cinema like “Boogie Nights”. Fast progressivo, para a frente years later, I’m atuação across these movie stars in real life. And they all showed me great respect and kindness. They treated me as if I’d been in this industry as long as they had.

Any scary-good stories from the set you can share with us?

ASH T: There’s a scene where I’m driving the rest of the Stream Team (Abigail Breslin, Lydia Hearst, Kara Hayward, Jack Donnelly) in a party bus, and I nearly wreck because they are distracting me. I decided to really go off the rails with my character and play up the craziness. After I finished a few takes that day, I remember Kara and Abbie telling me that it was really funny.

How did you get involved as executive producer on the docu film “Living With Chucky”? And, what’s that experience been like?

ASH T: I was filming a TV pilot I co-wrote called “Hitbaby” directed por Abigail Breslin, and she had brought her friend Kyra Gardner to help with special effects and makeup. As an indie filmmaker, I’m always interested in the stories of my cast and crew. I found out that Kyra is the daughter of Tony Gardner, the famed special effects artist behind the Chucky doll. When she pitched me the idea of a doc based on the “Child’s Play” franchise, I knew I wanted to be involved. I had great memories as a kid watching the filmes every Halloween.

It's amazing to see the great response “Living With Chucky” is getting from audiences at film festivals like Fantastic Fest. I watch the room as they're taking in the film, and I amor to see how much they're genuinely enjoying it.

What’s the biggest lesson you learned from working on either of these projects?

ASH T: Not to underestimate my abilities. I've put ten thousand hours into the craft of acting, and cut my teeth to a razor's edge doing indie films. I'm mais than capable of being on set with any actor/director whom I hold in high esteem.

And, now just for fun:

Who’s your favorito actor/actress?

ASH T: Jim Carrey

What role from the past do you wish you could have played?

ASH T: For film--Richard Boyle in “Salvador”; on TV--Saul Goodman from “Better Call Saul”

Favorite movie or TV show from your childhood.

ASH T: “Dumb and Dumber”

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.

ASH T: I used to be a physician at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, but I wasn't very passionate about a career in Medicine. I left that job and Texas in 2018 and moved to Los Angeles to go after my dream of being a Hollywood TV/film actor.
