When Michael Jackson joined Justin Timberlake and 'NSYNC onstage at the 2001 Video música Awards, JT didn't get a chance to sing with one
of his idols. The King of Pop just busted out a number of his signature dance moves as the crowd at New York's Metropolitan Opera House went nuts. A couple months later, though, Timberlake got the opportunity of a lifetime when he performed — and sung — with MJ at his 30th anniversary show, concerto at Madison Square Garden.
Years later, and months after Jackson's passing, Timberlake maintains that Jackson's vocal dexterity might be the biggest legacy he's left behind.
"If there's anything that I think my generation of artists — including myself, obviously — emulate about Michael, it's that he felt what he was doing so much that his vocal presentation of the song, you can tell when he was cutting the record he was probably dancing in the booth," Timberlake told mtv News on the red carpet at his Las Vegas charity concert. "At least that's what it seems like to me. That type of energy, that kinetic energy into the music, I think that's what we all try to emulate. From hip-hop to pop to rock and roll, I think that there's inflection that he put into música as a vocalist that no one had ever really heard that way."
Though Timberlake professed to be a huge fã of Jackson's tunes as a kid, he also admitted that he didn't have a true understanding of Jackson's legacy until he left início to pursue a career as an artist. "Growing up in Tennessee, I never really understood the phenomenon that was Michael Jackson or the pandemonium that followed him around," JT said. "I just heard certain songs that I loved as a kid and I gravitated toward those songs. It just so happens that 99.79 percent of his songs are perfect. They're perfect songs. The other whatever percentage are works of art as well."
One work of art he's interested in checking out is "Michael Jackson's This Is It," the upcoming documentary about the singer's final days. "It looks like a mais intimate view than anything we've seen," he said. "I'm sure it will be good."
While he's looking progressivo, para a frente to catching MJ on the big screen, Timberlake said he doesn't try to invoke his idol in the recording booth — though he's pleasantly surprised when he finds a point of similarity in their music. "You don't imitate it, but you know when you have something that he had," he explained. "You could tell he was just excited about the música he was doing. That's the feeling that you get sometimes and that's when you feel like the king — but other than that, not so much!"

Certain items found in the room where Michael Jackson died could help shape Dr. Conrad Murray's defense -- namely, that other docs were medicating Michael.
Sources connected with the case tell TMZ ... evidence in the room suggests certain potent drugs were "prescribed and prepared" for MJ to self-medicate.
As we first reported, Dr. Murray's team will not challenge the L.A. County Coroner's finding that Jackson died of a massive Propofol overdose. But as we told you, Murray's team will present evidence in the doc's manslaughter case that Michael awakened, then gave himself the fatal dose of Propofol when Murray left the room.
We're told Murray's team hasn't decided if it will use the evidence found in the room to implicate other doctors in Jackson's death. But we do know Murray's legal team will present evidence during the trial that the fruits of Jackson's notorious doctor shopping over two decades wore his body down.
The rep for Dr. Murray's lawyer refused comment.

You came and changed my life
You Let Me survive
I never felt like this before
It's very perfect mais Than I Thought
I came to This world hopeless, helpless
you Made Me Speechless
I was alone with no friend
you came my friend
Until The end
and never looked for How Much you had to spend
when My fears came
you came and took The shame
you lifted me up In the sky
and Made me fly so high
like a butterfly
cause you're angel In My sky
you opened my heart
Through blocked walls
You Made Me See the light
through Darkness night
You were My dreams
through My fighting In nightmare
I can't explain Much
how I Feel About You
Just Let my feelings come to you
Cause I amor you
yes It's true!!!!!!!!!!

Co-executor John Branca tells TMZ, the first show will open in fall of 2011 -- and will travel throughout North America including the Staples Center in L.A. ... the same venue where MJ's memorial was held.
The show will be heavily focused on dancing -- honoring the legendary moves of MJ. It will also feature Jackson's songs and have the trademark Cirque du Soleil acrobatics.
In 2012, a segundo show -- in partnership with MGM MIRAGE -- will open in Las Vegas which will be far mais theatrical with emphasis on technology and 3D. "It will be a theme-park-like show," says Branca.
Sources say the shows will be worth a fortune to the estate. Cirque and the estate will dividido, dividir costs and profits 50-50.
