After dinner, Paris' homecoming celebration continued and Prince tried to talk to Paris, but she avoided him por sitting closer to Michael and her aunts. But she could not avoid Blanket,who crawled over to her demanding her attention. Soon it was bedtime and everybody began to leave. Michael thanked his family, Diana, and Elizabeth for all of their help. He even forgave Joseph for going to the police station and hugged him goodbye.

Grace, relived that she still had a job took the children upstairs to get them ready for bed. She bathed all three children,helped them brush their teeth, and dressed them for bed. Then she read their favorito bedtime story, Good Night Moon,took them to their rooms, and kissed them good night. When she was finished, she walked downstairs to help Kai clean up the kitchen.

After the children were in their beds, Michael went to kiss them goodnight and to talk to Paris.

"Paris?"

"Yes, Daddy?"

"Come here, Princess. We need to talk.", he said.

She walked over to him and he picked her up and sat down in the rocking chair. He set her on his lap and sighed.

"Paris, why did you leave the house today without permission? You almost gave me a coração attack."

"Because I ran away, Daddy.", she said sadly.

" You ran away? Why?"

"Because Prince hates me."

"Why do you think that, baby?"

"He told me that he wished that I would disappear and never come back because I told on him."

"Why did you tell on him?"

"Because we were playing in the living room and he jumped on the sofá and broke the picture on the table, so Grace punished him."

"Well, she was right doing that, but you should have been punished too, young lady because you know better don't you?"

"Yes, sir."

He sighed deeply and ran his hands through his hair.

"Paris, please don't do what you did today ever again. Can you promise me that you won't run away again? If I ever lost you again, I don't know what I would do."

"I promise, Daddy."

"You know now that I have to punish you, right? I don't want to do this, but tomorrow you can't play in the playroom. I want you to stay in your room and think about what you did, okay?"

"Okay, Daddy."

"As for Prince, he's in trouble too and he has to stay in his room too tomorrow. Its getting late and you better go to cama now."

"Good night, Daddy.", she said and kissed him on the cheek.

"Good night, my little Princess.", he said and kissed her on the cheek.

Then he left her room and went to talk to Prince. He told Prince that he was in trouble for playing in the living room. Like he had been with Paris, he was very calm and he did not raise his voice or threaten to beat him. Prince listened to everything that his father had to say and accepted his punishment without protesting. Then Michael kissed his son good night and left the room.

After Michael had left, Prince snuck out of cama and went to talk to Paris. He opened her door and closed it behind him. Then he walked over to her bed.

"Psst Paris?", he whispered.

"What?", she said sleepily rubbing her eyes.

"I need to talk to you."

"Can it wait until the morning? I'm sleepy."

"I tried to tell you this-", he began.

"Why are you talking to me anyway? I thought that you hated me."

"I don't hate you. Well, I do hate you sometimes because you drive me crazy and you get me in trouble-"

"Well, I hate you too because you are bossy and you always try to tell me what to do.", she retroted.

"Let me finish please."

"Fine."

He sighed and said,"But you are my little sister and I'm s'pposed to amor you."

"Okay I amor you too even if you are bossy."

"I'm going to get out of here before Grace or Daddy catches me. Good night, Paris."

"Good night, Prince."

After he had left the room, Paris sighed and went back to sleep.
