The Whiskers were facing a harsh winter. With Rocket Dog without a mate, there were less mouths to feed, yet she had to find a mate soon. It was a cold night in their burrow. The youngest pups were four weeks old and were facing their first trip from the burrow the seguinte day. They huddled close to their mother, Sophie, with Juno, who was a few weeks older. His young mother Ameera paid no attention to him, so Sophie mothered him.
In the morning, Rocket Dog woke first. She was still full of grief for her lost pups that Ameera killed so Juno would live. For a moment she thought she saw a movement in the bushes. I must be imagining it, she thought. She didn't have time to investigate anyway, as her brother Mitch emerged from the burrow. Another movement in the bushes and Mitch was on full alert. Suddenly four meerkats burst out of the bushes. Wilson...Philleppe...and apparently Rocket Dog's sisters Bananas and Billy who had joined the Aztecs. Wilson was actually the father of all of Rocket Dog's anterior litters. Mitch was certainly no match for this four, but that didn't mean he wouldn't try. But the first thing Billy did was go right up to her sister and plead for forgiveness. Bananas soon followed. They had obviously been kicked out of the Aztecs for being pregnant. And Rocket Dog needed pups in her group. She shook them off, allowing them to rejoin. por now though, Mitch had disappeared, and so had Philleppe. He had obviously gone after him. The seguinte thing Rocket Dog did was sneak out into the bushes with Wilson.
Mitch appeared back at the burrow with several severe scratches from Philleppe, but he had obviously managed to chase him off. Barely noticing the absence of his leader, he quickly scent marked Bananas and Billy and headed into the burrow.
Days later, there was reason for celebration at the Whiskers burrow. Bananas had successfully had her litter: two pups. He ordeal of living por herself for so long stopped it from being more. As Rocket Dog led the Whiskers out foraging, first-time mum Bananas, with the help of Mitch, stayed início to care for the newborns.

The Aztecs leader Maybelline's pups had left the sanctuary of the burrow weeks ago, and her two sisters had left. It wasn't a good time for them. Maybelline needed recruits. The only males in her group was her father Zaphod, and her brother Murray, as well as her young pups Harrison and Tofu. Plus, her young daughter Piglet was showing signs that she's expecting. Maybelline led the way from the burrow, meaning business.
She ended up taking them to the Whiskers burrow. She led the way underground...in fact, no one followed other than Marmite, Piglet, Tofu and Harrison. They were born in the Aztecs. Everyone else grew up in the Whiskers, they couldn't raid their burrow. Maybelline's latest pups had no idea these meerkats used to be family...that this group was led por their aunt.
Underground, Maybelline tussled with Bananas. Mitch headed back to fight off the younger four. The rest of the Aztecs just stayed where they were and watched. Maybelline managed to squeeze out of the burrow enterance...but not empty handed. She had one of Bananas's pups. Knowing the rest of her group wouldn't, she finished it off quickly eating the remains. But to get full revenge on her sister, she had to get the other as well, so headed back towards the dramatic scene unfolding in the burrow. She couldn't get underground before she noticed the full force of the Whiskers tearing down the slope towards them. She sounded the attack and charged towards her former group. She had to get hold of Rocket Dog and KILL HER.
As she reached the battle scene, she immediately headed for her sister. She could sense everyone around her had stopped. And it was just the two leaders. Whoever got out on topo, início would lead both Clans. The Aztecs would be no more. The Whiskers would be back to the biggest group in the Kalahari again. The loser would face either a life of an evicted female or death. The one destined to succeed flor would win. The other may never know anything again. The battle the sisters had been waiting for for so long had begun.
