ARCHIE: Archie’s parents split, leaving his dad to raise him on his own. Archie doesn’t come from a rich family like most of the other Riverdale kids so he has to rely on scholarships to go to college. Because of this his father puts a lot of pressure on him to do well in football. However, Archie’s real passion is music. He loves music so much that he even ends up starting an inappropriate relationship with his music teacher. A lot of Archie’s actions are driven by his insecurities of failing.

JUGHEAD: Juggie is your sarcastic, outcast. He’s quiet, likes to be on his own, and basically just observes all the drama that happens in the town. The drama of Riverdale is told to the audience through him for the most part. Jughead is left on his own and basically lives in different areas of the town because he doesn’t have a proper home and doesn’t like to ask his friends for help because he’s so used to doing everything on his own. He’s extremely loyal towards his family and he always believes in looking at the truth even if it hurts.

KEVIN: Kevin is the sheriff’s son so because of that he automatically gets a lot of hostility aimed at him. He’s often just seen as the “gay best friend” and he’s determined to break that stereotype because he knows that he is so much more than that. However, he’s also extremely self-conscious about himself especially when it comes to relationships. As the show goes on you see that he’s actually super sweet, caring, and insecure.
