Yeah.....well, here we go:
End of Chapter 23
***Alice's POV***
"Nope." I said at the same time. "But...you all were there for us, and it's the least I can do. Please be patient with us, I know I'm not sure how to word this..and I'm sure that Rosalie isn't either." I said as I reached over and took Rosalie's hand in mine.
She smiled down at me as she squeezed my hand, letting me know that we were in this together. She pulled on my hand and led us over to the sofá where Emmett was sitting.
"Emm, could you please let us sit here?" She said as she smiled at him, a smile I knew meant she would get her way.
He looked at her for a fraction of a second, then stood up and moved over to sit seguinte to Jasper who was sitting there watching me as if I were made of glass. I smiled at him as I sat down seguinte to Rosalie, both of us looking at each other wondering who would start this.
"Rosalie, you were hunting with Jasper and Emmett...what do you remember?" Edward asked as he smiled at both of us, obviously doing his best to help us with this.
"Thanks." Rosalie said as she turned and smiled at him before closing her eyes, obviously going back to that dia when everything changed.
Chapter 24
***Rosalie's POV***
I took off, running as fast as I could away from the house. I didn't bother jumping the river, instead I took off along the river towards town. I didn't know where I was going, but at this point I didn't really care either...as long as it wasn't at início with everyone looking at me. I ran to the clearing, my legs just starting to warm up from the run. I went over and sat on the rocks, thinking about how my life had changed in the last few weeks.
I was sure that Alice had made it back into the house and was trying to explain to everyone that I wasn't ready, or that I couldn't handle this. As soon as I started thinking about all of this I got angry, realizing that this would make me look week to everyone..and that was not the truth. I would not let any of them think that this was going to win, that I was so weak that I couldn't discuss this. I kicked a rock por my foot, and took off back to the house, running as fast as I possibly could, hoping that Alice wouldn't have gotten to far into the story.
I walked up the steps of the porch, my feet not making a sound as I walked up to the door and heard Alice saying that I wasn't ready for this, and that was when I opened the door and told everyone I was here.
Alice watched me carefully, wondering if I had changed my mind. I really didn't want to talk about this but if she was going to be brave, then so was I. I asked Emmett to mover so that Alice and I could sit together, pouting my lower lip out just a bit...knowing he couldn't resist but to give me my way. He sighed loudly and went to sit seguinte to Jasper, both of them watching us very closely.
"Rosalie, you were hunting with Jasper and Emmett...what do you remember?" Edward asked, breaking my concentration as he smiled at both of us, obviously doing his best to help us with this.
"Oh...yeah, thanks." I said as she turned and smiled at him before closing my eyes, as I went back to the dia that changed my world.
I took a deep breath as I remembered walking out into the woods, the boys so excited because they had thought up a new game. I think it was something about who could get the most deer with some stupid point system.
"The guys took off, running to beat each other in some silly competition, and I was not in the mood to deal with them." I said as I looked over and smiled at Emmett, who winked at me and smiled back. "I was turning to go the other way, to go find something to do while these two hunted." I said as I opened my eyes again and noticed that everyone was staring at me. I wished that they would stop looking at me like this, like I was going to break down.
"I remember taking a step away from Emmett and Jasper, then the next..." I said as I squeezed my eyes shut, doing my best to keep the seguinte imagens from forcing their way into my head. I was about to open my mouth, to start explaining things when I felt a hand embrulho, envoltório around mine, squeezing it softly. I looked down and smiled at Alice who had grabbed my hand and was now holding it in hers, squeezing it as she smiled and nodded her encouragement.
"The seguinte thing I remember I was stuck...this sounds a bit strange but it was like I was trapped. It was completely black, I could occasionally hear Emmett or you Carlisle, calling my name but I couldn't respond. I wanted to tell you that I could hear you, to tell you that I was lost but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything." I said, my still coração should have been beating against my chest, the anxiety rushing through my body as I thought of being stuck.
"It's ok Rosalie." Edward said as he moved over and put his hand on my arm, trying to calm me down. "You don't have to Rose, it's alright."
"Thank you, but I must." I said as I looked in his eyes, knowing he was hearing my thoughts. It meant a lot to me that he and Alice were being so supportive, but they were also the ones who understood.
"Yes, we do." He said as he smiled up at me then went back to where he was sitting, his eyes on his hands.
"It...." I said as I shook my head. "Hmmmm well, it was like being stuck in a room with no window's. There would be a light...it would shine for a few seconds, and during those few segundos I could hear all of you, I could feel you touching me." I said as I looked into Emmett's eyes.
"The seguinte moment though, the light would go out and I would hear people or things calling my name, offering me a way out of it all. They would call to me, tell me that it would just have to give in, that they could end this..make it better." I said as I looked up and found everyone watching me, looks of horror on all of their faces.
"I was trapped in one of the dark moments when I heard Alice's voice. I turned towards where I heard her yelling and ran, for some reason the room seemed to go on and on...I couldn't get to you." I said as I looked at her. "I ran for what seemed forever and then the light came on and I could hear everyone yelling about Alice, that she had gotten struck with what I had."
I looked around, everyone shocked por what I had told them, their faces horrified and full of pity or sorrow. I couldn't take it, I had come back so that I could explain my story, and I did...but I couldn't stay here any longer. I looked down at Alice and mouthed the words I'm sorry before I stood up and ran out the front door, leaving everyone watching me run.
