End of Chapter 26
"What did you see Alice?" I asked as I went and stood in front of her.
"We need to get to that castle, we need to find her clue. There is a message for you." She said as she looked up through her eyelashes.
"For me?" I asked as my spirits rose. "You can't leave Jasper though." I said as I looked at her.
"I have to get away, I know I've seen him kill before but today was different. I need to get away, to keep my mind occupied...to find Bella." She said, knowing what to say to get me to agree with her.
"We should say goodbye." I said as I reached for the door.
"No, we have to leave now." She said as she moved and blocked the door.
"Alice, we have to let them know." I pleaded.
"Fine, we'll leave a note." She said, angry that I was making her do this.
She stomped over to the drawer where the pen and paper were stored seguinte to the phone, pulling the boné, cap off with her teeth. She scrawled a quick note out and then threw the note pad at me.
"We had to go on our own, please don't worry. Keep looking for the clues, we will meet up again..trust me, and my vision. We amor you. Edward and Alice." I said leitura the note out loud.
"Alice, Jazz is going to be upset." I said as I turned and looked at the door as it began to open.
"Upset about what?" Jasper asked as he and the rest of the family walked through the door, Alice's face falling as she saw the look of anger and disbelief on his face.
Chapter 28
"We have to go on our own...alone" Alice said as she watched everyone file into the room.
"Why?" Jasper asked as he went to stand near her, not touching her though because it was obvious that she didn't want that at this moment.
"Edward and I need to go to the castelo where she was held, she left a clue for him there. I don't know exactly what it is, but she focused all her attention on one thing...and we have to go find that." She said as she watched the door close.
"Alone?" Esme asked, her thoughts worried about letting us go alone since Alice had seen us fighting at a castle.
"Yes, Edward and I." Alice said as she smiled at Esme. "The rest of you could continue looking for clues, we know now that they have people watching us. We can not all go or it will alert them and they will mover her...again."
"I don't think this is a good idea." Jasper said from against the wall.
"It doesn't..." Alice said, choosing not to say that it didn't matter what he thought. She was so upset about what she had just seen, the fact that Jasper was able to kill without any segundo thoughts.
"Alice," I said as I reached my hand out, taking hers in mine. "You know this is upsetting him." I thought, choosing to not finish the sentence out loud.
"I know, but I have to get away." She thought back, her thoughts about how much that would hurt both of them.
"Are you sure?" I thought as I squeezed her hand.
"Yes." She said sadly, as she leaned progressivo, para a frente on the table, her head in her hands.
"Tell the rest of us." Emmett said, surprising me because I realized that he was the one who usually figured out when Alice and I were talking without talking.
"We need to go alone, we don't mean anyone any offense. It's just that we will be able to mover faster alone, please don't be offended." I said as I looked around, listening to what everyone was thinking.
Esme and Carlisle were both worried about letting us go alone, not sure about what would happen to us. Emmett was upset about being left behind when there was a chance that we would be fighting, while Rosalie was glad that Emmett wouldn't have to fight again. Jasper....Jasper was the surprise of the group. He knew that Alice was upset por what happened, but didn't understand why she was angry. He did it so that we would all be safe, not because he wanted to kill the man. He was hurt that we were leaving him, that Alice was leaving him without working this out.
"Alice, can we talk please?" Jasper asked as he looked at her.
"Jasper," Alice said, her only thought was about how she didn't want to do this, she just wanted to leave.
"Jasper, I think it's best if we just leave." I said as I stood up, grabbing Alice's hand.
"Protecting her from ME?" He asked, his temper starting to boil to the surface. "Jazz, can I talk to you outside?" I asked, my own anger starting to show.
Jasper glared at me as he walked outside, stopping in the shade of a large tree. "What?" He said.
"Jasper, you know she's upset. She needs to get away for a while, that doesn't change anything about how she feels about you." I said as I walked closer to him.
"Obviously it does." He said as he remembered the look on her face after he killed the segundo man.
"Ok enough." I said as I stepped close. "Jasper, I don't have time for pity...they have BELLA...do you understand? BELLA! I can not deal with your self doubt, she is in danger. If this was Alice, would you just sit back and let me argue with Bella?" I said as I got into his face.
"Edward, enough." Carlisle said as I turned and saw everyone was outside watching Jasper and I. Emmett was starting to walk my way, thinking about how he didn't want to restrain me but he would if he had to.
"We're leaving." I said as I turned from Jasper and walked over to Alice who was watching Jasper closely.
"I amor you." He said as he smiled at Alice and his thoughts turned to how sorry he was because he forgot about the true reason we were doing all of this...Bella.
"I forgive you." I said as I kept walking.
"Alice, let's go." I said as I grabbed her hand and started walking back to the main hotel building.
"Wait." She said as she stopped, pulling her hand out of mine and ran to Jasper. She hugged him tightly and kissed him before turning and running back to me. She stopped once to look back over her shoulder, blowing him a kiss.
"Keep your phones on." Carlisle called after us.
"Let's go." I said as we ran into the hotel, stopping once so I could call and book two seats on the seguinte flight into Scotland, which left in one hour.
