End of Chapter 22
I held her against my chest, beijar the topo, início of her head often as she hugged herself close to me. "We're getting married." She said against my shirt.
"Yes we are. You're sure you want to marry me?" I asked as I laughed.
She pulled back, an angry look on her face. "Now why would you ask that?" She wondered.
"Just asking love, don't worry." I said as I kissed her forehead.
"I'm not worried, I know what I saw." She said as she grinned.
"Well, we should get going if you want the good room...you do want the good room still correct?" I asked as I stood up, helping her off of the floor.
"Yes, we want the good room." She said as she laughed at something I was sure I didn't know.
I walked over, opening her door for her as she skipped over...stopping directly infront of my feet. She raised up on her toes as she kissed my chin before climbing into the car. I smiled as I closed her door softly and moved around to the drivers side as fast as I could.
I climbed into the car, taking her hand in mine as I put the car into reverse. I smiled at her before backing out of the driveway, realizing that this was a pivotal point in my life...I was leaving my past behind, ready to start a new chapter in my life with the woman to be my wife.
Chapter 23
I reached down, wrapping my hand in hers as I put the car into drive. I didn't know where we were going but since she obviously knew everything that was going to happen, I figured she would keep us going in the right direction.
We had driven for about 10 hours straight, only stopping for gas a few times along the way. We were about a hora outside of Chicago when she sat up straight in her seat. I turned in my seat, watching her as she closed her eyes and focused on something I couldn't see.
"Alice?" I asked as I reached out and touched her face. "Alice, amor please talk to me." I begged.
She blinked as she turned her head, resting her head against my hand before she turned and kissed the inside of my palm.
"We're almost there." She said as she smiled.
"Almost where?" I asked as I smiled at her before turning to focus on the road again.
"Well almost the perfect place of course." She said as if that explained it all.
"Ok." I said, letting the topic go.
"I'll tell you how to get there." She said as she giggle quietly.
We drove about another half an hora before Alice started directing me on where to go. I was about to pergunta her on where we were going when she started pointing to a field in the middle of no where.
"Go there please?" She asked as she pointed to the field.
I went as close as we could, afraid to take the car off of the small dirt road that ran along side it. When the car came to a stop she jumped out, not waiting for me to get to the other side of the car. She looked over the car at me before she took off running into the field, stopping once to turn and see if I was going to cadastrar-se her.
I smiled as I started running after her, wondering what we were doing in the middle of a wild flor field this late at night. I wrapped her hand in mine, and slowed her pace so that we were walking together. We walked a few hundred feet up the colina until we got to the topo, início where you could see the lights from the town, and yet if you looked the other way you could see never ending fields.
"This is the place." She said as she reached down, grabbing a hand full of flores as she swept her hand along them.
I was about to ask her what she was talking about when she turned to me, holding the flores in front of herself. In that moment I knew what we were here to do, that this was the place that we would be married.
She was so breath takingly beautiful, her white dress flowing in the gentle wind. The margarida with it's soft white petals set against her black hair...which seemed to sparkle in the moonlight, and the group of flores that she held delicatly in her hands, afraid to crust a single stem.
I reached out, taking her hands in mine as I stared into her golden eyes. I knew that this would be one of the days that I would remember as long as I was alive.
"Jasper." She said softly, doing her best not to look down at the ground. "This is the place."
"It's perfect, but there is no one to marry us."
"We don't need anyone, we know what we feel." She said as she grinned.
I reached down removing the box that I still had that Alice had picked out, opening it to reveal two simple golden rings. I took the smaller of the two in my fingers and held it out, waiting for her to exted her ring finger.
"Alice, I know now that I do not want to face one single dia without you por my side. I would be lost if I had to go a dia without your smile, your love." I said as I slid the ring onto her finger. "I amor you Alice, I would be the luckiest man on earth if you would be my wife." I said as I smiled down at her, my still coração feeling like it would pound agaist my chest.
"Jasper," She said as she looked up at me, her emotions so full of amor and pride that it made me want to shout my amor from the topo, início of a mountain.
"Jasper, I knew from the minuto I first saw you in a vision that we were going to be together. I didn't know the depth of the feelings I would have for you, I agree with you....I wouldn't want to face the dawn without you por my side. I truly amor you." She said as she took the other ring and slid it into place on my finger.
We both stood there, not saying a word to eachother...just looking into eachothers eyes and commiting this moment to our memories...not that I ever thought I would forget this night.
"I amor you." I said as I leaned down and kissed her softly, smiling when she pulled back just enough to tell me she loved me too.
