\'Jurassic World\' release date: Chris Pratt is still on a roll
It\'s been an incredible last couple of years for actor Chris Pratt, who is currently one of Hollywood\'s most bankable actors, and it doesn\'t look like it will end any time soon. Following a successful stint as leading man Peter Quill in Marvel\'s mega blockbuster \'Guardians of the Galaxy\', Pratt will next star in \'Jurassic World\' which will be released in theaters a few months from now.
Pratt first gained prominence from his television role in \'Parks and Recreation\'. His character, Andy Dwyer, was originally set up to be just a bit player on the show, but Pratt\'s performance surprised the show\'s producers and they eventually upgraded him to be a regular cast member.
Pratt followed this up with strong performances in movies such as \'Moneyball\', \'Zero Dark Thirty\', and \'The Five-Year Engagement\', before going on to star in the surprise hit \'The Lego Movie\'. But his starring role in \'Guardians of the Galaxy\' played a large role in turning the movie into a massive box office hit, which in turn has propelled his career to even greater heights.
Hollywood\'s newest leading man now looks to headline another grand adventure as he portrays Owen Grady in the next generation installment of the \'Jurassic Park\' series in \'Jurassic World\'. As can be seen in a promo image as posted in this article at Hypable, Pratt\'s character Owen Grady is ostensibly charged with protecting everyone from the dinosaurs once they escape.
The upcoming film will not entirely be a reboot and will follow the events of the previous films in the series. In \'Jurassic World\', the dinosaur theme park first seen in cinemas over twenty years ago is now in a state of decline, and the park\'s owners are trying a radical change to reignite interest in the park. As expected, this plan will backfire which will trigger the epic dinosaur rampage as first seen in the film\'s official trailer.
\'Jurassic World\' is currently in pre-production and is slated for release on June 10 later this year.
