The news, first reported por the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, would be devastating to a company that's already down Randy Orton.

Many wrestlers, including Edge and Steve Austin, have undergone neck fusion surgery in the past. They've missed around a ano of action while doing so.

Cena missed several months in 2007 with a torn pectoral muscle. There's no word on whether the injuries are related.
