“I think that the demon’s miasma might have do this to ye,” Kaede said. “Your sight will probably return to ye soon.” I nodded and I heard her leave. I heard someone else kneel in front of me. A warm hand was placed on topo, início of mine and I heard InuYasha growl.

It had been three days since the demon attack at I still had not regained my sight. I was walking down the road, carrying a large stick. I held the stick out in front of me, softly running it along the ground, so that I wouldn’t trip on anything. InuYasha was walking with me. I didn’t know exactly where he was, but I knew he was there. I sighed and, out of boredom, clicked my tongue. I gasped and froze in the middle of the road.

“What’s wrong?’ I heard InuYasha say as he appeared seguinte to me. I didn’t answer, but clicked my tongue again. There is was again.

“What? What is it?” InuYasha said, his voice filled with worry even though he tried to hide it. A smile spread across my face.

“Go stand somewhere in the field,” I said. I heard him leave my side. I clicked again. Just like the two times before, a light flashed, revealing everything around me. I could see the world perfectly in my mind. I continued to click until I found InuYasha. I smiled up at him.

“What did you just do?” he asked.

“Echolocation I think,” I said.

“That’s great, you have a way to see,” he said.

“Will you help me?” I asked

“With what?”

“I want to learn to fight like this,” she said. InuYasha hesitated for a moment then sighed.

“Alright.”

For a few days, InuYasha and I practiced with my echolocation. I had gotten fairly good at it.

“What’s going on?” I demanded.

“W-We think it’s best if you stayed here,” Kagome said. I started shaking my head. “Kyoko...” Kagome started.

“No, no, no, I am not letting you go without me,” I said. “What if you get hurt?”

“I won’t. I have InuYasha, Shippo, Sango, Kirara, and Miroku to protect me.”

I stood up. “Is this what all of you think?” They all nodded sheepishly. My mouth became a thin, hard line. InuYasha put his hand on my shoulder.

“Kyoko,” he started.

“No,” I hissed, turning to glare at him. “I can’t believe you would do this to me.”

“What?” he said. “I’m just trying to protect you.”

“Well, you’re doing a lousy job,” I yelled. “If you hadn’t noticed, I’m BLIND!”

“That wasn’t my fault!” he screamed back. “You were the one who ran off!”

We yelled at each other for a good ten minutos until, I had enough.

“Well, fine then,” I turned to everyone. “I hope you’re happy.” I grabbed my sword and my bag and marched towards the well.

“Wait! Kyoko wait!” Kagome called. I could hear many footsteps running after me. I turned and clicked my tongue. Everyone except InuYasha was coming. My coração felt like it was being crushed. I wanted to stay, but I knew that I wouldn’t be able to unless InuYasha tried to stop me. I turned before they could see my tears and jumped down the well.
