if kagome and kikyo fell from a cliff and inuyasha had to save one who will he save?

i know that inuyasha likes them both but what if that happened who will he save is it kagome or kikyo i gave it alot of thought but until now i couldn't find the anwser.so what do you think you might help me find the anwser please anwser.

To make it easier to understand, who will you save, the person in the present that's living or the dead in the past? Plus Kagome IS Kikyo! She is the reincarnation of Kikyo, so if inuyasha wanted to save them both, wouldn't it make sense to save Kagome?
