If this person starts talking about how amazing Twilight is, than at least we'll all know it's all fake.

I think the person who made that site...is ever so slightly immature.

And I think it's annoying how he/she assumes we've never read any other fantasy.

That was so ridiculous I thought it was a troll. (Like that Preppygurl chick who was posing as an immature Twilight fan.) But then I realized she(he? I think it's she) was serious.

Just because we read Harry Potter DOESN'T mean we don't read OTHER Fantasy books! I swear I'd already read half the books on the list.

I love how his/her critiques are vague and impersonal. "Same lazy plot points." How? What books did it "knock off" and how? The whole point of this site was for him/her to express her dislike, but she never once gives an actual reason.

Ironically, I dislike most of those books she recommends. I've read LOTR, The Chronicals of Narnia (I like the movies a lot better), A Wrinkle in Time, and The Golden Compass. The Golden Compass is the only series that I somewhat enjoyed. The rest I could not stand.

Also, I thought her analogy "It's like loving McDonald's because you've never had lobster" completely stupid and irrelevant. Cows and potatoes have nothing in common with shell-fish. And, again, ironically, I can't stand any type of sea food - not the smell, not the taste, not the texture - and if you gave me a choice of lobster and McDonald's, I'd take MickyD's any day.

I think this is just another case of a close minded, ignorant person. People have different tastes. Just because she didn't like HP doesn't mean that everyone who does hasn't read her idea of good literature.
