Well I've been composição literária a little fanfic recently and I realized that when I write fanfic, I mostly let my character's handle the plot. Whatever happens to pop in my head at the time, and doesn't go completely against the no geral, global story line, gets put in the fanfic.
But Smeyer says that she wrote Twilight por just "letting her characters handle the plot". There por making it seem a lot like how, not only I, but other people, write fã fiction.
I decided to look up some reasons of what makes a good fã fiction:
"1. Choose the anime/manga/book/video game/movie you want your fan-fic to be about." Vampire's aren't an original topic. Believe me they are amazing!!! but Meyer isn't the first person ever to write a vampire novel.
"2.Come up with a storyline." I've read stories por 9 ano olds that have mais of a plot than Twilight.
"3.Compose your opening paragraph." Anyone with the ability to write can to this.
"4.Add a new element to your story that makes it unique and interesting." Well I'd say that sparkling vampiros are 'new' and 'unique'. Even if it isn't in a good way, necessarily.
"5.Add mais details." Saying that Edward is 'pale', 'cold', and 'granite-like' counts right? RIGHT?!?!?
"6.Further develop the story." Well Meyer, you kinda failed here. But I suppose this is where you wrote "Eclipse"
"7.Come up with a conclusion." How about a simple cliché? 'We continued into our small but perfect piece of forever' AKA 'Happily ever after'.
"8.Reread your entire fan-fic." 'BUT I'M SO BUSY! I'd never have time to read my own book! Besides, *I* was the one who had the wet dream!!!
"9.Share your work with others." Meyer, I really wish you hadn't.
"10.Take constructive criticism." I think she missed a step.
Well I just think this proves that Twilight is really over-long fanfiction!

I don't want to hear about Harry Potter or any other book right now. I'm not setting this up for a debate about which is better. I just want to know seriously and honestly why you Twilight fãs enjoy leitura Twilight. I want to see an actual reason that Twilight is a good book.
If you don't like Twilight, I don't want to hear you saying anything bad about it. I just want to know why people like it. Because all the debate's I've seen have no actual reasons. They have HP fãs and Twihards going on about which book is better, but not why they like it.
I do actually want respectful debate though. I want to discuss the reasons you give, but nicely.
If you can't be respectful of each other's opinions then just don't comment.
And I'm not trying to hate on Twilight, but if I disagree with you I will debate with you.
I don't know if there are other debate's about this, so I'm sorry if there are, but I didn't look.
I'm just rambling now so let's get onto it!
